I would target week 2 against KC. We can survive a game against the worst DTs in the NFL with Pryor at LG. Get him an extra 10 days.

It was the logical move to redshirt him no matter how long his recovery took (unless it was extremely minimal)

I'm pretty sure they said that McCarthy could have come back toward the end of the season but the way Darnold was playing there was no need.
