What the Browns should be doing this week is having Gabriel play the first half as Sanders did last week, have Huntley play the 3rd quarter and Sanders the 4th quarter. Mary Kay Cabot seems to think they'll carry all 4 QBs on their 53-man roster, which makes no sense to me. If they cut Gabriel as a 3rd round pick it's possible another team picks him up; I think they could cut Sanders without anyone picking him up and add him back onto their practice roster -- if that's what they'd choose to do.

Unless he shows real potential in camp I'd cut him and if someone else picks him up I'd shrug my shoulders and say goodbye to the media that's been hanging around him.

Yeah have Huntley, a camp body they brought in purely for injuries, play ahead of Sanders. That makes sense.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

They are giving reps to the guys higher on the depth chart. Shocking...

The media is going to make sure this guy's career never has a chance. He and his dad already had it on life support, and the media hype will pull the plug.

ESP must be furiously working out to contextualise those Hurts ints for his stats so he can turn them into a win.

IMO, the Pickett injury hasn't done Sanders any favors from a strictly roster perspective. If I was him I'd have been hoping Pickett outplays Flacco through camp and gives the Browns the ability to cut Flacco. Pickett is $2.6M fully guaranteed and the Browns gave up DTR and a 5th round pick to obtain him. If Pickett were cut it would be another "WTF were the Browns doing trading for him?" from their fans. Flacco is $4.25M but only $1.25M guaranteed; they could have cut him with minimal pain and simply said "we like our younger guys".

I don't think Pickett is even cleared for 11-on-11 yet, which means it's likely Flacco starting Week 1.

Ugh were gonna lose practice

Or was the Hurts selection really about having a backup under control and a cheap contract for the next 4 years because Wentz had shown himself to be fragile?

That was my thinking. Wentz never finished a season and the Eagles wanted a QB that could win a playoff game. I'm not sure 2020 was all on Wentz; I recall that there were a lot of injuries that year. What did strike me is that the offense seemed to come alive once Hurts was inserted which goes along with Wentz not being loved in the locker room.

Dolphins are getting obliterated with injuries to their D. They are going to be a dumpster fire.

You're thinking of Foles. Wentz played all of his rookie year. He also played all of 2019 except for the concussion in the playoffs.

Another practice win.

Very disappointing if we don't get to see him on Saturday.

The O-line was a complete mess all year. I think they only had 2 or 3 games all year with the same group of guys. It was also Mailata's first year starting. On IR that year was Andre Dillard, Jason Peters, Sua Opeta, Brandon Brooks, Lane Johnson, Jack Driscoll. We were basically left with Jason Kelce and the third string line.

Doug also deserves a big share of blame for the offense in 2020. We had the whole mess of Howie bringing in guys and forcing them to work together while Doug wanted to do his thing with Press Taylor. Way too many cooks in the kitchen with the sprinkled in wildcat garbage that didn't do anything.

The wild cat stuff was some of the few times the offense actually did anything outside of the Fulgham stretch.

No, it was bad outside of one or two plays. They wouldn't even let Hurts throw the ball barely the first half of the year even though the one good play was an 18 yard pass. The only other good rush was one for 20 yards against Baltimore. Other than those plays it was very unimaginative and boring.

We are going need to do some serious self scouting during the bye hours between joint practices
