PHLY recap:

Seems like Adoree is separating from Ringo. Ringo is getting fewer reps with the 1's now and he's taking reps with Ricks on the 2nd team. Fangio said he needed to rebound after the preseason game and so far it appears he hasn't.

Uche definitely Edge #3 right now.

Darius Cooper practicing with the 1's today as a WR, gunner, and returner. He's definitely making the team. Bo thinks he legitimately looks like a good NFL WR and not just good for an undrafted guy. Thinks he could be WR3 next year.

Andrew Mukuba has been getting beat consistently over the top by TEs. Fran thinks this will improve as he gets more comfortable, not necessarily a talent issue. EJ Smith is worried about his size and physicality.

A lot of dump offs today to RBs. At one point McKee had 4 in a row to Dillon. Hurts had some to Shipley and BVS. These were check downs on 11 on 11's, not specifically practicing these as drills.

I forget who but someone said the dump off to BVS would have been equivalent to Sheldon Brown/Reggie Bush if this was a real game. He would have gotten killed.

Are we really that deep into camp, with no two a days, with no preseason games, that this is normal now?

Hey, if the Giants can find a Victor Cruz, why can't the Eagles find a gem in Darius Cooper?

Hey, they practiced for 2 hours on Sunday!

The silliness of these reporters is silly. The RB dump offs... Conceivably, Cleveland could have asked for that look to see how their defense is covering it. These beats think just because its 11 on 11 it couldnt be specifically practicing it. Why? We need more beats who have actually played football and know what kind of stuff happens in practice.

According to them that's not what it was. This was live action and the plays went to the RBs because of play breakdowns.

We had that with Greg Ward. Seems like Eagles are very lucky to hit on that again.

Side note I'm very surprised Greg Ward isn't on our coaching staff. He was a leader in the lockerroom and a huge part of DeVonte and Jalen developing into the players they are today.

Right. But, it still could have been requested by Cleveland.

Greg Ward took time though, Cooper could make an impact as a rookie. I was big fan of his and agree, he'd be a good fit as a coach.

They need time for their podcasts.

It wasn't based on how it was described.

How was it described other than that it was 11 on 11?

They were scrimmaging. These weren't scenario based plays or drills. It was McKee or Hurts dropping back, either no one open or under pressure and getting rid of the ball quickly. They are down there, they can tell what's going on. This isn't their first rodeo at camp.

Oh ok. I dont trust them as much as you. The fact that it was 11 on 11 does not mean that Cleveland didnt request to see how their guys would cover some RB dump offs. No matter how many camps they have been to, they still seem like its their first rodeo when it comes to this stuff.

Absolutely right. They do it in pre-season games all the time so why wouldn't they do it in scrimmages and practice? You want to work on blitz pickup? Ask the other coach to blitz, just don't kill our QB when you do it.

Not sure I buy that story. There are like 20+ people in that draft room. How is Howie working out some contract extension amd back and forth with the Titans in that room with no one else notcing beyond 5 people?

Wikipedia says he's in the UFL with San Antonio. He's only 29, I thought he'd be older than that.

He benchwarmed in youth soccer and handed out orange sections after the game

Um, the contract is with AJ, not the Titans.
