Hey, if the Giants can find a Victor Cruz, why can't the Eagles find a gem in Darius Cooper?

We had that with Greg Ward. Seems like Eagles are very lucky to hit on that again.

Side note I'm very surprised Greg Ward isn't on our coaching staff. He was a leader in the lockerroom and a huge part of DeVonte and Jalen developing into the players they are today.

Greg Ward never came close to Victor Cruz. Cruz had a 1500+ yard season, followed by another 1000 yard season. Greg Ward's CAREER total of yards were exactly half of Cruz's single 1536 yard season.

Ward was a JAG, at best. The fact that he got as much time here as he did merely goes to show how pathetic the receiving corps was during those years (2019-2021).

Nice work by the artist. I'll buy another jersey.

Then don't make people pay crazy money to watch it live. Sorry, I just don't see noise as that big a deal for a sporting event. There's a lot of excuse making for why golfers and tennis players need absolute silence to hit a little ball. In one case, the ball is just sitting still... in the other, the player who is going to hit the ball tosses it in the air themselves to hit it... and if they don't like the way they threw it up, they can just catch it and do it again with no penalty. And if they hit the ball into the net on the first try, they get a second try, with no penalty.

Compare that to a batter standing in the batter's box against a guy who now throws the ball upwards of 103 mph. Tell me which one needs to be able to concentrate more. Maybe if they weren't such sticks in the mud, there'd be a constant buzz of noise and the players wouldn't notice much of anything due to the white noise effect. But instead they fight for silence and then little things perturb them... like camera shutters. wacko

Haha, I truly believe you would change your mind if you ever played. I've practiced football, soccer, tennis, fencing and several other sports, and I know tennis needs silence while soccer and football need lots of noise. Also, you have to think that it's not considered polite to boo or cheer against a certain player in a tennis match. Whether you support one or the other, the etiquette tells you to applaud good points even if you don't want that player to win. Totally different culture than baseball.

BTW, I've attended many tennis tournaments and nobody made me pay crazy money, I decided to do it even though I knew I couldn't make noise while the point is being played 😅

Greg Ward was a top 10-15 WR of the past 25 years for the Eagles. He was clutch and we wouldn't be in the playoffs in 2019 if it weren't for his emergence.

Um, the contract is with AJ, not the Titans.

Yeah I know. How is Howie, in a draft room with 20+ people while he works out a contract with AJ and also has an ongoing back and forth with the Titans on a potential trade and no one is noticing beyond 5 people?

It's Coors light. It's basically water.

I remember when I was a Boy Scout, going to Colorado to backpack and getting Coors near beer. Back when 18 year olds could drink, all they could drink in Colorado was 3.2% beer. The only beer you could buy for a long time in a grocery store or convenience store was 3.2. Now we backpacked in the 14s. When you are a flatland kid, 3.2 had more of an impact at altitude than in Houston.

This was back in the day when Coors didn’t ship. (Smoky and the Bandit, anyone)? I remember some friends making a beer run to Colorado and proudly displaying their five cases. Besides having arrived back to Texas in their trunk (not good for unpasteurized beer), they were greatly disappointed when we pointed out they had brought back 3.2 beer. That indeed was Coors Light. Wife and I were in Colorado last summer and I noted that they can now sell regular beer in grocery stores now.

Why are you supposing that Howie was somehow tethered to his chair during all of this and didn’t have the freedom to casually stride back into his office for some privacy?

Well, I have played tennis, and I was pretty bad at it. Of course, I was never in fear, nor have I heard of anyone dying on a tennis court from getting hit by a tennis ball. I have been in fear on a baseball field, and tragically, I have heard of people dying on a baseball field. The idea that tennis requires silence in order for it to be done well is just ludicrous. No tennis court is silent, at least not the ones in neighborhoods. There is neighborhood noise all around.

But hey, have at it. You like it, I don't. The outrage over noise at these events always cracks me up. Make loud calls for "out", and let these fans make whatever noise they wish... except for those stupid horns they had in Qatar for the World Cup.

That makes sense, as Lurie likely wouldn't have had the money for chair tethers.

How do you know he had enough money to afford doors on the various offices... or even multiple offices?! ph34r

Good question. My understanding if Lurie spent all he had on the sting and tin can Howie used to contact the Titans with.

I don't see any way they go into the season without adding a CB2 OR starting S. They might be able to coach around one weakness, but not two. Let's not act like edge rusher isn't an issue either. Something's gotta give and I can almost guarantee those 13 draft picks are burning a hole in Howie's pocket.

Texting. Duh. He’s not going back and forth with the Titans, or didn’t you notice? He can actually leave the room too, for a minute or two, if need be. And he’s not on with AJ but with his agent and most of the contract has been worked out already including, most importantly, AJ’s approval. Dandy and Howie are old pros at this. Howie wants to get it done and Dandy has to please his client.

I worked until summer came, then we got a new pastor for our church (so my wife and I were part of the retirement party planning group) and I've been helping the new pastor by going on visitations. (He's bivocational for the next year plus.) It is an interesting thing to minister to the shut ins.

We also lost a family friend and an aunt to cancer this past year. Cancer truly sucks.

They had multiple first round picks that year and moved up. I've never seen the Eagles draft room showed, or any other team's draft room showed where the GM wasn't present in there.

The Eagles themselves showed there aren’t THAT many people in the war room at all times. They roll everyone in to do the call to the prospect and announce the pick but other than that it’s not over flowing with people. I also wouldn’t be surprised if 2022 had less people than 2025 with everything going on.

Oh wow he was on with his agent? Oh wow I never knew that. Shocking. Also let's ignore in the video where Roseman says he is back and forth with the Titans. Jackass.
