Robinson is stronger than Williams. I don’t know if he’s quicker but I doubt it. Williams wasn’t all that good until last season, which was his fourth.

Question for the Blog. Looking at the HOF Tight Ends below, which ones were inline blockers in the mold of Goedert and which ones were in the mold of Zach Ertz?

Sanders was much like Gonzalez. Casper was a great blocker.

Whenever I see this from Baldinger, I always think back to his rave review about Jamar Chaney.

This was your entry, wasn't it?

Why do it earlier? What if he breaks his leg or jumps off the bleachers at a Pirates game. Is there any advantage to doing it way in advance?

I don't know but about 1/3 of them were exercised before the deadline. Another portion were not picked up at all. So, only about 1/3 of the options are announced at the last minute, like the Eagles with Davis. Then again, the Ravens didn't announce Kyle Hamilton's until today as well. 🤷‍♂️g

I was watching an interview with the Nebraska coach and he was raving about him. Obviously coaches are going to talk up their players, but it seemed genuine.

He also threw out the idea that Robinson could bulk up to 330 like he was early in his career and be a good NT, which I found interesting.

Dude jumped. You can't convince me otherwise.

Oh

Finally we get a camp fullback crush

What position is he going to play? He is obviously strong and physical. Rugby players go both ways and he is used to carry the ball. FB or OL?

It almost looks like he thought he could jump up and stand on the rail before he realized that wasn't a good idea.

Yeah, I think you are right. Nuts. Falling from that high on your head? Holy crap.

From all accounts he jumped up for a McCutchen double and was so drunk he just fell forward. Critical condition...broken pelvis, skull fractures, etc.

I'm guessing his head hit first and then the pelvis? How did his neck not snap???

That's as reckless as getting into a golf cart with John Elway.

I think he is going to be outstanding for them and can you imagine if he is? That will be huge for keeping the D at a high level.

Cam going against him and loving him says a lot, too.

And Cam working out there points to full recovery from his back issue.

Good point I didn't think about. I'm excited for this year. If they can somehow win two in a row it would be amazing.

Then the guarantees would void like what happened with Jernigan

I think about him asserting that Matt Ryan was the best quarterback IN THE LEAGUE about halfway through his rookie year. Not the best rookie quarterback but the best overall. At a time when Peyton Manning and Tom Brady had already become legends and were still in the prime of their respective careers.

I agree with all of these. I was a Milton Williams guy, but Ty Robinson was my draft crush for months. I think he can come in and give you what Williams did and more right away.

The fact that Kendall was the best pure center in the draft is a bit confusing. Why take a player who's the best at his position that has no chance of playing that position...or is there any chance they put him at center and Jurgens at RG? No way in my mind, but just trying to make sense of the thought process.

Mondon is a player.

That is nuts. I've watched it countless times and I can't even figure it out. He clearly jumps up. Was he trying to kill himself or trying to look at something over the railing and lose his balance? Looks like he lands on his head, right? I doubt he ever walks again. Crazy

I think he was obliterated and wanted to streak maybe? It looks like he jumped with the intent to maybe grab the railing and let himself down and jump with his back facing the field, but he was too hammered to coordinate all of that and the result is what we see.

Because if Cam gets injured you don’t have to move Dickerson to C. Basically, last year we had no backup C and Cam and Landon had to gut it out.

If anything, he's equally as quick. He gets in the gap so fast. Tremendous hands and swim move. Can make himself skinny. Love watching him play. Can't wait to see him next to Carter.

Not having an adequate backup Center can potentially be a recipe for disaster. I was nervous all last year after they cut the rook
