What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Didn't watch the SB?

I did. I also watched the other three games where he was one catch for 11 yards.

So Aj brown is retiring to solely focus on charity work— per RTK

I think this is just Howie getting a player he liked at one point for a cheap look

This has to be AJ related.

Cooper and Wilson crushed in PS. Smith looked worthy too.

Methinks the hammy is the whammy.

Why?

Bc he is very talented. Great trade

You asked a question and making those catches in the SB gets him into the top 3 as of today. We have also heard Hurts has been working with him.

1 for 11 doesn't mean he wasn't open. It means Hurts probably didn't look past AJ or Smitty

Discussion by who?

Blankenship I thought was in the box more than CJGJ?

Either way I cant imagine theyll be too many times Blank is on the sideline while makuba and Brown are the 2 safeties, unless hes hurt

The insurance part vis a vis Blankenship was in case he and Howie weren’t able to agree on a contract extension.

Metchie going to be the first WR to have to wear a number in the 60s

I suspect the Eagles will only keep 2 TEs and go heavier at WR. Granson or Jenkins will make it to PS

The age will scare some teams off on Hendrickson. He fills a need and also fits out "window" perfectly.

Most importantly, this might be one of the few teams he'd agree to play for without an extension. He saw how Saquon's value skyrocketed in just one year here and might be disgruntled enough in Cincinnati to settle for a change of scenery at this point.

You no extension theory is one I’ve been pimping for a while. Give Cincinnati a 3rd that can become a 2nd if he does extend with the Eagles.

Other years I think it would be possible but I really think Howie is saving the cap for the young guys next year and the year after. Taking on a big contract means you are not keeping 2 of the guys you want to

Agreed, but if you don’t extend him and let him walk in Free Agency after the year then you are not taking on a big contract.

Metchie is a more natural slot than Dotson. Will be interesting to see how it plays out by mid year and if they offer one a modest extension

The point of the CJGJ trade was cash and salary cap. Howie traded him to later pay Jalen Carter.

Its the reason Goedert coming back was not a sure thing (he took less money)

This is a nice roster coming off 2 SBs in 3 years and Howie was preparing for what he has to do going forward.

Metchie is just a guy. He's not big, and he's not fast. I get swapping the 2 players. I don't get giving up draft capital.

I don't think pick 185 to pick 200 is draft capital, but I hear you.

Not about these 2 but I suspect that won't hold true 100% of the time going forward

This

I dont get this Metchie trade, and I like Metchie but the timing and the fit seems really odd

Jimmy Kempski disciples over index on late picks. Howie moves all around on draft day anyway
