They need help at CB, S, and DE. I don't hate it but there are some legit areas of concern.

They might look at guys like Z. Smith and Simmons to fill those roles. Cheap vets that don't cost much

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Must not play fantasy. Some people have been hyping up 7th round pick Croskey-Merritt as a deep sleeper since camp started.

What I’ve heard from some of the Arizona coaches out here. Not just training camp but minicamps they were hearing that. He was ineligible last year but they really loved him and were upset when he couldnt play last year

I’m not sure that Metchie is on an expiring contract. If his year one was officially designated as NFI the his contract may have tolled, and that would mean there are tw years to go, not one.

Yea, I didn't realize he's a RFA after the year. That goes a long way for him.

I like Metchie a lot. Gritty, good route runner, good hands. A natural WR unlike a lot of the guys we cycle through. Good WR3/4 type, but I really hope they keep Dotson.

The more I think about it the more I like it. Metchie is actually a perfect slot for the Eagles. He doesn't need high volume and works the middle of the field well and does the dirty work.

Exactly, and that's all they probably need. A Chris Long type of vet who signs and contributes.

I heard Howie say something about the draft that is probably true for these kinds of trades. You make moves to improve the team even if you have more of a need another place.

Since Melchie is Canadien, do the Eagles have to pay a 35% tariff for him? Is that the difference between the fifth and sixth draft choices?

Smith I could see. I just don't think they need an old S now. The non starting safeties are needed for ST especially with new kickoff rule

They apparently want a defensive player or two and picks for him. Don’t know what defensive players the Eagles could give up. They obviously are not giving up Hunt or Nolan. Not much else to trade from on defense unless they want one of our linebackers. On offense not much to trade either unless they want Shipley or Steen or something.

Sydney Brown and Kellee Ringo are possibles.

Yea first thought is the AJ injury is more severe than we know. I like the player but there are more important needs as we get closer to the opener.

That may be true, but this move in no way limits any other moves. They gave up basically nothing. They have a ton of draft capital to trade for whatever they wish or whatever is available.

Does it count that one of them is already gone, and that two more have their foot on a banana peel?

The digital / AI spotting is so pathetic.

Its done after the refs badly screw up the spot.

They need to apply AI to the play where the spot happened and get it right or at least closer to reality.

You can still 'Mahomes Rules' the Bills out of a Super Bowl appearance with 2 bad spots under the rule change.

Has Lewis Cine played a snap? My expectations were completely unrealistic, but for him to have ZERO impact is sad.

He's like Kaiser Soze. I'm not sure he is real.

I think Metchie does bring some dirty work stuff, but I really don’t think Wilson will be cut, unless he’s hurt and IR’d, even though I think he should be cut. But this might just be Howie continuing the trend of buying low on former high draft picks. I think it’s something Howie is going to continue to do over and over because he probably figures eventually it will net him a stud and as long as he commits to it without having to give up good compensation, he’s going to do it. And eventually when he does get that stud who figures it out, it’ll be worth sticking to that philosophy.

I don't know why this is so difficult to implement. There should be x,y,z coordinates for where the ball is on the field, as soon as an official blows the whistle, the coordinates are recorded down and that's where the ball is spotted. The intent is to speed the game up, so they need to actually implement it in a way that speeds the game up.

Remember Jerome Couplin? I wanted him to be good in the worst way too.

I think you are right. Hopefully, it's the latter. There are always a few people upset, but for the value Howie made a good trade. JD is gone next year either way so moving him wouldn't shock me. What would his value be though?

For a team coming out of camp with a need at WR I would think Dotson could easily have 3rd round value or the equivalent with a player. Dotson and a 3rd for a player and a 5th or something like that could might get them a good CB.

Outside of AJ and Smitty making his job easier, which receivers has Aaron Moorehead developed during his time here?
