What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

IR would be incredibly stupid. Thatll keep him out much longer than he needs to be.

Good luck with that, Bengals

Definitely worried about AJ. Would expect him to miss week 1 at the very least.

Heard on a podcast the hypothetical of trading McKee for a solid CB. It was readily dismissed.

One thing they didn't raise, however, is the reality that Fangio will adjust his coverages to support whomever ends up at CB2. Having a potential shut-down CB on the other side of the field makes it very likely.

Its not really the atrophy. That occurs in every major knee injury. ACL, Meniscus... Part of the criteria for coming back from any of those injuries is to get the quad back to equal circumference of the unaffected side. It basically always happens or else no one would ever return to play from knee surgeries.

Its more so regaining the same power. It has less to do with muscle size, and more to do with neuromuscular connections. Motor unit recruitment.

A torn ACL is not a torn quad lol

On one hand it's great that he's honest about it

On the other hand this sucks lol

What's the chance they're trying for a competitive advantage for week 1 for Brown

It is a division game that's a must win. We haven't had a season opener that 'counts' since 2020

That's just trolling. He's on the field throwing passes. Hamstrings can linger so you never know but if they were that worried they'd be keeping him off the practice field

In what sense? Not allowing the guy they think is CB2 to get full practice time at CB2?

Based on what? 4 passes? He's a rookie 6th pick ffs, give him some time

I can't help it if you can't snap evaluate a player without giving him time to develop at the most difficult position in the sport.

I was referring to Brown. I'll edit the post

The thing with that kind of trade is that it is purely imaginary. There is no hypothetical top flight CB available for a trade, that would know the defense enough to be ready to play and an improvement on what is on the team. It's just silliness. The team has plenty of talent at the CB position. I have faith Fangio can make it work.

Sheil threw out a fantasy trade on the last Philly Special of McKee for Kool Aid McKinstry. I thought it was an interesting trade. I don't think either team would do it though. For one, I think the potential for McKee's value to be greater than that is worth too much to Howie. And with the Saints having just drafted Shough, I don't think they'll trade for another QB that quickly.

Too bad for Brandon Johnson if he cannot play this week. Project him to PS.

No way you risk AJ tweaking his healing hamstring on a wet field.

I don’t read anything in that as Vic said Mac was behind because of the injury.

This may have been covered since im perpetually a day behind in the blog, but the pick swap undid the pick swap from March.

So basically we gave up CJGJ and Harrison Bryant for Metchie and Kenyon Green.
