I watched part 6 of The Kingdom. I didn’t watch 1-5. I highly recommend it.

For a sec I thought you were talking about the SK show. Now that's an amazing show

Is Joe Douglas training to be the next oline coach?

Might be to just get closer to the players to have more experience?

Howie's has to be pacing the halls.

Off Topic. When is the minimalist movement going to end? Companies are shedding their entire identities, and in this case, Cracker Barrel is changing so much of their actual product that makes them a beloved restaurant.

DE was an unknown 12 months ago. Sweat was a fine DE. So was BG, but we didn't know how much he had left in the tank. You omitted Huff, to no surprise. But he was already seen as not one of Vic's guys. Smith was coming off a disappointing rookie season. Hunt was universally seen as a project then.

Can you honestly say the the DE situation is that much worse that what was perceived last August?

We lost graham, and sweat and replaced neither of them.

If we are lucky one of Ojulari or Uche will step up and replace the production of one of those guys.

Itd really be something of both of them work out and replace both of our losses.

likely, it is a slight downgrade.

I call Cracker Barrel Dolly Parton's kitchen. Excellent mounds of mashed potatoes.

I was actually thinking about getting my parents a set of cracker barrel rocking chairs as a retirement present. My mom is retired already and my dad will be in October.

Now I dont know if I can do it.

Absolutely. We'll disagree about Smith. Potential was there going into year two. People like Chris Long were talking about his rough first year but the flashes they saw in him to take the next step. That gave me hope. You heard rumblings about Hunt through camp. Huff wasn't mentioned much.

Last August it was two solid/good vet DE with two young guys who had potential to improve. This year it's two good young guys with two vets who seem to be what they are. So yeah I was more optimistic about the group last year. We'll agree it was an unknown last year but I wouldn't have called it a concern the way it feels now. I'm not sure they replaced one of the guys the lost let alone both. That's just me.

My dream for the Phillies over the next few years is to some how land one of De La Cruz or Skenes.

I thought Nolan Smith was the favorite to replace Graham's talking, but its Hunt.

The new look logo is sort of the shape of a barrel (on its side).

I don't understand why successful brands are pandering to today's young people. If your business attracts old people, you'll never run out of customers because people are always aging. This was the reason for the marketing shift that sunk Bud Light. Young people are constantly transitioning into old people --- it's science.

It's not really as impressive as they are making it out to be. He was stealing 2nd, and had a huge jump, so he hit second base going full speed. He's fast, but what he just did isn't like the Bo Jackson throw from the left field wall in the air to the plate. It was pretty impressive though. Just not earth shattering.

Best part was that both Mailata and Hunt were helping to coach up the younger guys... which is incredible, as Hunt is a young guy himself.

And after all the trash talk back and forth, I think it was Ojulari saying to Mialata after practice- thanks for the work youre going to make me better.

This team is just so much fun right now. The culture is unimaginably good.

You have come to verdict without hearing/seeing all the evidence. Come back after Week 4. Think about where the team was after Week 4 last year.

One interesting thing about the edge position is that Baun and Campbell might be the third and fourth best edge rushers on the roster right now. With Trotter playing well, it certainly gives the defensive staff options other than Ojulari and Uche getting 400 snaps each this upcoming season.

The problem all of us are having in comparing now to where we were 12 months ago is that our expectations are so much higher now. Winning the Super Bowl will do that to you.

It’s that Ivy League education in action.

Pandering to young people is an exercise in futility - they all have the attention span of a gnat

My friend who is semi into football I text him Eagles and other football video clips from Youtube and somehow after all this time he has not learned that if you click them if they're from official NFL accounts within the text box they won't load, you get the copyright message. You gotta click it so it opens in the app. This happens once a week, I tell him to remind him, and somehow, this has been going on for well over a year, and he still forgets every time. It drives me Fing nuts, how can you be so oblivious and absent minded?

And the last time they played it was their 21st real game together of the season.

In a 17 game season so much changes with player development, team development and injuries. Not every issue will be solved week 1

Nope. I'm greedy and want everything like another CB and DE, though.
