What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Lane is doing a massive turnaround from what he was saying earlier this preseason. He originally said he feels great and retirement was no where on his mind and he wanted to finish out his contract which is multiple years down the road. Now he's talking about the end of this year? What the hell happened?!?!

The wear and tear on his body is starting and has another 5+ months to go.

They don't necessarily HAVE to get Lane's replacement from a top 10 pick.

Preferably get a guy that won't be expensive with the amount of contracts we need to dish out already and not including any other free agents.

I guess so, it's just shocking because back in June he didn't even hint at this. He actually said the opposite.

Yeah I recall him saying he still had a few more.

Then a day or 2 ago he said if they win a super bowl he would retire, but otherwise he would keep going.

Now, maybe hes done regardless.

Could be Lurie pushing him out in a money saving move.

I don't like circus peanuts. They aren't as bad as those circular brown things with the white centers made from who knows what, though

Damn, those are really good too. Something I would definitely consider if I were to do a late night run to the drugstore for candy. Yes, I’ve done those. Thankfully not lately.

You know what I like about this training camp?

For 2 decades, we had the most intelligence insulting training camp hype. Everyone looked amazing. Every team was special. Every player was in the best shape of their life. And the local media bought into it.

Last year, I commented late in the regular season that the team just seemed unhappy, dissatisfied. Nothing was good enough. They were riding an enormous winning streak and there was a sense of uneasiness, frustration, and anger that they weren't better.

Enter 2025 training camp. Defending SB champs. We've got Fangio basically saying the defense looks like crap. The sentiment that they are having a bad camp. Most defending SB champs (including our 2017 Eagles) are getting rotator cuff injuries from patting themselves on the back at this point in training camp. And these guys are unhappy.

I love it. This is so very early 2000's Bill Belichickian. I was worried they'd come out flat against Dallas thanks to a SB hangover...and that seems so much less likely with all this internal angst about how sloppy they are and how rough the camp was. I think this is more of a Hurts/Fangio thing, because Siri doesn't really have the disposition for it. But this is just wild. I've never seen this kind of internal criticism and hype void in camp in my entire life as an Eagles fan...and it's the year they are defending SB champs. This is pre dementia Belichik level stuff.

Giants are the dark horse to win the division and be the surprise team.

You should consider good candy, maybe even some created in the last 50 years.

Even aliens know those heart candies were horrible. Chalky and unpleasant was the perfect description

Don't see how Dani Dennis-Sutton isn't on that list, but he will be by the end of the year.

Yeah that is surprising, I'm sure there's other lists that he's already on in the top 30.

So RC Pro-Am is real now...

lol valid entry. I'll start some crap and also say candy corn sucks. Unless it's Brach.

I’m in the unpopular opinion that candy corn hits in October and only in limited amounts. Kinda on the same boat as a Cadbury cream egg.

He turned 35 and is a millionaire and over this ish, just like most mid 30’s guys minus the millionaire part

Take it to CVON. I haven’t had PHub in 8 months now

Working my way through the Cowboys Netflix documentary. The end of the 2nd episode has a nice little part on the Eagles and Cowboys rivalry before they met in the playoffs of the divisional round of the 1992 season.

I get that I'm just saying, only three months ago he sang a complete opposite tune.

Sounds like a mid 30’s guy whose body has been accelerated by being through it most of his life.

In all seriousness, this is basically what Kelce said. He’d feel awful going through a season but when he had enough time off he’d recover and want to do it again. I think it’s pretty common for a competitor like Kelce and Johnson at this age. He just finished TC and is probably feeling what that’s like at his age.

Only 3 short months ago he said he felt great and wanted to finish out his contract, said he's not even thinking about it. Talk about acceleration. This is going to be front and center the most important off season move now. Would've been very helpful if Lane did play the next couple years like he said. We could've concentrated on DE, CB, TE maybe RB and OG. Now this jumps in front of all of those...

I don’t think Lane will retire, the dude loves the game. But at this age he’s obviously going to be year to year. I think if Eagles go back to back he could very well retire, but if not, I doubt he does.
