Final pre-season game day.

Hard to get excited about playing the Jets.

Hard to get excited????

This is our preseason Super Bowl! They robbed us of our annual tradition last year but it’s back. Get hyped.

With Lane, I don't think training camp has anything to do with the decision. He'll still be training when he retires because that is something he enjoys. It sounds like he intends to get into coaching at some point after retiring (maybe after a few years).

It doesn't matter what career you have, there will always be sacrifices made. For NFL players, it may not always be possible to get Christmas or Thanksgiving off or go to church regularly. But it does provide other opportunities like the financial ability to do things that many people can't afford to do. When football players discuss the sacrifices they make, they don't usually bring up how they have basically get almost half a year to spend extra time with their families. There are a lot of people that work year round and maybe only get those holidays to really be with their families.

He was asked what factors affect that decision to retire. Did they ask him what factors keep football appealing?

There’s a pretty big difference between weight training and getting hit over and over again outside in the summer.

I love this place. Howie just came off an amazing year where his moves led to a Super Bowl victory. This year's early picks look very promising and some people are complaining because Lane hinted on a radio show he might possibly retire in a year and they didn't spend a top pick on a guy who would sit for at least a year.

Who’s better, 2025 Tyler Steen or 2023 Cam Jurgens at RG?

Lane might be a collector of clicks.

Jurgens was a rookie learning on the fly. He hadn’t gotten past the "thinking about what I’m doing” stage. Steen doesn’t have that disadvantage, so my choice is Steen.

Just imagine the Jets with blonde hair and big boobs

Can’t believe that juicing A-hole Lane would do such a thing. Just trade him to Dallas for a 2055 7th round pick

Who will Howie trade for a low round draft choice in the next few days? My guess would be

DTR

Kenyon Green

Or

Trevor Keegan

I don't think anyone would trade for Kenyon Green, purely because he was not good at the Texans, and he's not even been able to show anything different in Philly. Someone may want a cheeky waiver claim based on his draft position, but even then, he feels like a Chance Warmack sort of player. A classic PS player who will drift out of the league within the next year if nothing changes.

DTR is a possible trade based on the fact he has some decent game tape in the regular season.

I do thinks its possible we see someone trade for a player McCollum if he's on the roster bubble. I wouldn't be surprised to see a TE traded for either

It's RT. They can find someone to plug in for a year if need be. My guess is Lane won't leave them hanging.

For all we know the Chiefs still would have taken OT and left the Eagles with Campbell anyway after the Eagles destroying their OL in the SB.

The one thing we know is how much Howie values the line. If someone good was there he would have taken him. He isn't going to let Lame walk and do nothing. He will give up some picks or move up in the 2nd or whatever.

Mina Kimes on fits for Tanner McKee and positioning for Cooper DeJean.

May be telling which OLBs play tonight

Roster cut downs are more interesting.

10 pages. Yikes

Do we know if any starters are playing today to knock off the rust?

Some folks know what side of the bread the butter is on.

I've never been to a Cracker Barrel, but some of the comments I saw when looking out of genuine curiosity at all the fuss ,was that the menus have had a redo in some areas. And inevitably, some people were unhappy about it.

TBF, when I saw the photos online weeks ago, I thought the remodel looked like a quick Gordon Ramsay Kitchen Nightmares one but nothing out of the ordinary for modern franchises - it looked cheap, minimalistic and very generic.. Only when I saw what they used to look like, did I understand why there has been a furore. CB looks like it was a brand with charm, not a brand of bland.

I would characterize the old decor as kitschy but it had a certain charm. I haven't been to a redone one. Someone looking for CDs of country music from the '50s to the '90s for example might be in luck.

A fun watch …

The players who vote should know better …

I actually liked Jereme Robinson as a late round UDFA signing as he has the frame and build but was 25 years old coming out. Hes not going to make the team but maybe he finds his way onto the PS

Will go with Steen based on size, game experience/reps, practice reps and hope.
