Eagles rarely are this good with a 10 person draft class. Several rookies are getting cut this year.

I think Hinton is the only late pick that they carry the rest go

Waived/Injured. It will be interesting to see if he makes it to IR.

Why would anyone claim him even if healthy? He’s clearly going to IR.

He'll be waived from there too with a settlement

Unlike Lane Johnson, Bill has never had to pay any consequences.

The GoaT was suspended 4 games for witchcraft, in part because of Belichick cheating or pushing the limits in the past made his team a target.

An appeals court ruled there was zero evidence. The next appeals court ruled Goodell can suspend with zero evidence.

For Spygate, Belichick himself was fined 500k, the Patriots 250k, and they lost a first round pick.

Look up what the word Never means. In fact, look up the entire history of the 2000-2023 Patriots.

Man, you really got triggered and hung up on me saying they could use another edge. Most would say that would be wise as long as they don't trade away a ton. Rooting for it is different than saying I don't trust them.

To be accurate "edge” is too general a term for what they need. 3-4 OLB is the edge subset that matches Fangio’s scheme. Huff, and to a lesser extent BG and Sweat were 4-3 DEs miscast in the 3-4 OLB role.

They could opt to not put him on IR and instead negotiate an injury settlement payment with him.

I agree with you that no other team will claim him.

Someone clearly deflates his balls to Belichick/Brady

Damn, about an hour ago my dad tells me that the Eagles traded for Sam Howell and traded away Tanner McKee. Asks me to find the details. My first reaction is "Oh No” because I really, really like McKee.

So I’ve spent this time catching up and realizing that the McKee story is nonsense. I’m so relieved. (Kinda bummed that it looks like McCord is gonna get waived but I’ll get over it.)

He automatically reverts to IR if he’s not claimed. They can negotiate a settlement but he’d have to be on IR first as part of the procedure.

Fangio has excelled with Bradley Chubb, Josh Sweat, Jaelyn Phillips, Khalil Mack, Alden Smith, Justin Smith as 3-4 OLB/Edges. He’s just fine using guys we would normally say are DEs on the edge. It’s not like he actually asks them to cover people.

This is just insurance in case Hurts has to miss some time in early September.

They saw enough of DTR and McCord to know they did not want them on the field in 2025.

Howie loaded up on these late round picks and decided it was OK to burn a little bit of draft capital in this case.

Details matter.

I once had a girlfriend tell me the breaking news that Lady Di was killed by Pavarotti.

I was struggling with that until I got the facts.

I think the first 6 make it. Kendall has been training at a few spots and they don't have good depth on the OL. We agree about Hinton for that reason as well. Most of the OL vets are vested and can be stashed on the PS. I wouldn't be shocked if McCord and APR get cut. Williams I'm on the fence. If they think Lane is serious about retiring next year I could see them wanting to keep him and work with him considering he may have been a first next year if he went back to Texas.

If I had to guess McCord and APR cut. OL vets to the PS to be called up as needed and the young guys are stashed on the roster. We'll see.

Yeah I was including Kendall. Forgot he was a 6

What an outstanding draft by Howie, though.

Yeah I like what they did with Kendall. McMahon last year was never practical because he couldn't play G and you don't just have a pure backup C active. Kendall allows you to have a backup OC active because he can play OG in a pinch

BB is a complete cheater and belongs no where near those others coaches. And he is a vile human

Is McKee having surgery or something? This is a weird trade.

QB factory!

It is a bit odd, but clearly, they aren't happy with McCord and DTR. Howell might be the #2 next year if they decide to maximize their return on McKee and trade him after the season. BUT... Howell is on an expiring contract. So, they get a year to kick the tires and see how he fits in during practices...

I think this might have less to do with McKee's finger than we think and perhaps just more about their disappointment with McCord.

You could try Googling "Did Joe Montana and Jerry Rice cheat" or "49ers cheating" or "Bill Walsh Cheating"

Joe Montana admitted that his team cheated.

Jerry Rice even admitted that Rice himself cheated. (the clown did this on TV when he assumed Brady was guilty of witchcraft)

AI Overview

Yes, Bill Walsh was accused of cheating by Bill Parcells for sabotaging his own headsets in a 1985 NFL playoff game, which according to NFL rules, forced the Giants to also have their headsets turned off, providing an advantage to the 49ers who had scripted plays. Walsh acknowledged the act as "gamesmanship" rather than cheating, though Parcells considered it a deliberate attempt to gain an unfair advantage.

This team beat your 2003 Eagles while on steroids. The Patriots defeated the villains in the Super Bowl. Deal with it.

I think APR is a definite "dark horse".

BTW, I was not impressed with Hinton, despite my optimism. I recorded all 3 PS games. Perhaps you (or anyone) can point to an example otherwise.

No Hinton struggled but I think they like him. Honestly I can’t remember a rookie OT who didn’t struggle. It’s a big transition

Its interesting how people look at things. Hurts was 3rd best at passer rating from the pocket in 2024 (but he can't be an NFL pocket passer 🤣)

He was near the bottom at passer rating (66ish) vs the blitz in 2024 but passer rating is not efficiency.

Every time you blitz him and he runs for a first down (like 3 huge plays in the SB) he does not get passer rating credit for that.

The clown at OC in 2023 just left Hurts to deal with the blitz 100% on his own. Its was a major factor in that last 7 games slide.

The scheme and game planning were much better last year. They should try to improve on it this year.
