Not that we’re giving up a ton of value, but it’s pretty lame that we have had to send a couple of 5s and a 6 for pieces that should have been easily attainable in the offseason.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

It would be funny if Bryce Huffs ring button doesn’t do anything

Fred Johnson back for a 2026 7th. That's nothing, but still. It was stupid to let him go. The Eagles seemingly had a great draft, but their free agency moves are not looking the best as it currently stands. Even with their limited budget it feels like they could have done more and over-corrected from 2018 bringing everyone back after winning a SB. And they thought "Let's let everyone go! Fresh blood!" Maybe went a little too far with that.

I think they wanted to try other options and didn’t hit. At least they weren’t pigheaded about it

He automatically reverts to IR if he’s not claimed. They can negotiate a settlement but he’d have to be on IR first as part of the procedure.

Thanks. Didn’t know that.

Wonder if we can trade for Rodgers back next.

The Eagles 2026 7th is literally worth 1 point in the draft chart. It’s nothing

Seems like a 'no harm, no foul' situation. After all, Howie has 7th round picks growing on trees. But, more importantly, they got extra snaps for the young guys and ended up with the guy they could have signed in the first place. No issue here from me at all. Fred got market value. The Eagles got to try out some other OL.

Fred Johnson signed a 1 year, $1,337,500 contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, including $142,500 signing bonus, $1,142,500 guaranteed.

Felt like a no-brainer to sign him for that and see if a draft pick could beat him out.

I think the Vikings could have a regression year and the Eagles should be damn good again, so swapping a 5th(and 7th) for a 6th probably doesn't drop them down that far. Maybe half a round from the 5th to 6th. And I assume Howie will be able to recoup some of these picks one way or another. McKee will fetch a 2nd+ within the next year.

I think they're still really well off, but would be even more so if they kept Fred and Rodgers to begin with and possibly CJGJ and could've used that 2nd on a pass rusher instead of a safety. Oh well, it's over and done with now.

I still don't think Howie is done. Edge and OT were the moves to look out for. OT down, now possibly Edge.

They could have signed him instead of the dried out husk of Kendall Lamm. He would have taken the same snaps and we keep a 7. If he got beaten out by a draft pick, no biggie.

Is this some catastrophic error? Of course not. It’s just a 7, which is a head start on UDFAs. The process however was bad IMO.

Pryor at G, and Fred Johnson at T is about as good as you can ask for in OL depth. Kendall as well as a C or OG.

If you get beyond those guys, hopefully Stoutland has had enough time to work with whomever is up next. But OL is in excellent shape now.

Get Isaiah Rodgers and Sweat back, and we are ready for the repeat.

It’s not a big deal but they could have done everything you said and just signed Johnson instead of a 33 year old guy coming off back surgery in Lamm.

I'm good with how it all turned out. Nothing worth getting fussed over. They course corrected and now, here we are... right where we could have been... and are now.

Another example of Howie 3.0 owning up to a mistake and digging out of a hole.

Would be funny if the next move is trading for Isaiah Rodgers.

Yup. Could have. And course corrected for peanuts.

AJ Brown for Milton Williams next

I see Skippy is back to his incessant Patriots D-riding for some reason

More like Anias Smith for Milton Williams.

See you all in Purgatory!

Kendall Lamm signed a 1 year, $1,505,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including $250,000 signing bonus, $750,000 guaranteed.

Might be seeing a lot of Fred Johnson too with the injury Mailata has been dealing with.

They were too casual this offseason. It was a very "yeah, yeah, we just won the SB" mindset. I would have liked for them to have been a little more urgent. Yes, the team overall is in great shape. Yes, cap space is tight. But the time for the Eagles is now. The 2025 Eagles are prime for a chance at a repeat. Things change fast. Don't get too complacent.

True. But they were collectively a low-cost, defensive set of moves. A bunch of veterans as backstops for the "fresh blood".

More importantly, they didn't stand pat. They went and got Bennett and Johnson when it was apparent their original plan wasn't working out.

I think Vikings end up being one of the top teams in the NFC.

I feel much better about Johnson at OT, Pryor at G and Kendall at C. I think they can slide in for a short period of time without sabotaging the offense.

Lamm, Hilton and Kinnard … can’t say the same. Pryor having to play tackle would have been rough too.

Johnson isn’t a world beater, and he needs help from the TE and RB in games, but I never felt like he was killing us out there.

Lamm is most certainly gone. He said in an interview that he's not right health wise. If he was I think he'd be an upgrade over Fred Johnson. I think Hinton makes the team and Williams gets cut and they hope to get Williams back on the PS. I think they could get him on there given he's so raw I'm not sure what value he'd have to any team in 2025 unless a team wants to waste a roster spot on him all year to never play him. But if that were the case I don't think he'd have fallen to where he did in the draft.
