The Jags cut Chad Muma today. A year ago I would have been willing to join the Church of Scientology if that would have guaranteed the Eagles were awarded him in waivers. Now, I just shrug. It’s nice to have linebacker stockpiled with talent.

What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Most of you know this but I'll say it anyway, for Howie to make the future money work he's going to have to play the young guys and see which ones step up. They all won't but if you panic early and get an expensive vet or even a vet that steals PT then you're digging a future hole. Obviously the key will be knowing when to give up on a guy and get a stopgap

Dionte Johnson was cut. What a strange fall from grace for that guy

Do we predict any Eagles trades today? I feel like DE would be the spot. I don't see a quality CB2 popping up out of nowhere

It’s not out of the realm of possibility, but I suspect Howie will want to see the waivers/cuts first.

I'd take Covey back but he isn't a KR which Carter does and Covey also can't stay healthy recently

I don’t think we are light on kick returners, just punt returners.

Hunt replaces Sweat. Smith is the same as last year. I think one of the signees from the offseason can replace Hunt’s snaps and production as all have done it. Basically Hall and Robinson replace BG and Moro’s snaps as Moro replaces Williams with a dose of more snaps for Davis. This fretting is absurd. This need for an all pro at back up positions is nuts.

I expect a big year from Hunt.

He would make sense.

He followed it up with an even more absurd take yesterday that he believes the list was rigged to have him on the list and he can't believe that NFL players would vote him #19. He doesn't believe that Jalen Hurts is well liked or respected around the league because he keeps to himself and is quiet.

I don’t really like bringing in guys like that anyway. If I checked in and was told he’s waiting for the right/time situation, I’m moving on.

NFL Top 100 voting process

I was curious about the NFL Top 100 voting process and deadlines. The linked article explains more.

When do they vote: "The process of sending out ballots usually begins around Thanksgiving, with "most ballots" submitted before the Super Bowl." We've been talking about how players get ranked a certain way based on performance through half the year, but this says most votes are submitted after the season.

In the past only around 300 players would even participate, and they've gotten it up to 1,100. To get more participation, they actually travelled to all 32 teams. How do they vote?

The process consists of players compiling a top 20 list, with point values assigned based on the rankings. A player who receives a No. 1 vote gets 20 points, then 19 points for No. 2 and so on.

There are no restrictions on who a player can vote for, so if someone thinks they are the best player in the league or at least deserving of a spot on the list, they can vote for themselves.

I guess the teams debate it live in the locker room as well.

Things can get a little tense with the voting. NFL Films senior talent producer Erin O’Toole told Bardahl that the Minnesota Vikings had the most heated locker room. She also noted to having witnessed "some legitimate locker room fights amongst teammates," including one in 2015 led by then-Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell.

O'Toole cited Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders and Pat Surtain II as the two most credible voters because of how seriously they take the process.

One to keep an eye on for the Eagles
