What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

I forget, can teams claim a guy then trade him? Like can the Eagles ask the Titans to claim someone and then trade a 7th for him?

I had the same question.

So nothing more than CJGJ for Metchie. Not factoring in the injury it feels like Texans got the best of this, but we’ll see.

If Fangio wanted to keep CJGJ, he'd still be an Eagle. Addition by subtraction.

He's a very opportunistic CB, but also undisciplined.

By the playoffs, I think Mukuba will be the better player, same ballhawking ability but more likely to play within the scheme.

I'd rather keep Keegan than a 3rd TE.

Given that 3rd TE is a vested veteran who won’t go through waivers, and can go directly to the Practice Squad, I may agree with you. But that is less a plus on Keegan than a practical reality of the vagaries of NFL rules.

I don’t think there is anything that says they can’t. The question you have to consider is why didn’t the original team just trade him for a 7th to begin with. Not that GM’s share a list of who’s about to be cut but they will work the phones if they think there is value. They also typically leak the day before or hours earlier of who they plan on releasing in hopes of getting a last minute trade.

Makes you wonder if each GM knew they were trading washers straight across

CJGJ is costly and chirpy. Might just be a wash.

It may take a few seasons to see the end result. We know what CJ is. Metchie has upside in this league.

Who knows how many targets he gets from Hurts this year. By next year he may be our WR3. Who knows how many targets he even gets then. A lot will be determined by QB play. But, I think Metchie can be an impact player on a lot of teams. Hopefully that can happen here.

I think CJGJ was a Howie move, if nothing else. I remember when they immediately gave Barkley more money I said CJGJ and his agent would probably use that to ask for a new deal too. CJGJ going online shortly after stating they cant pay everyone and have big money guys coming up supports that theory. I think Vic would prefer he stayed if on the same deal but not good enough to go to bat for him and demand he needs him.

Looking at cuts around the league, these are the names Id be interested in.

I dont think Ive seen lists for all 32 teams yet but...

Edge- Casey Toohill, Mohamed Kamara, Ahmed Hassanein, Clelin Ferrell

I was very enamored by Hassanein in the run up to the Draft, but is he any better than APR?

Ferrell has been a disappointment so far, and if no one claims him, that is an indictment in itself.

I was a proponent for trading for Metchie last year before the Dotson news broke, so hopefully. I’m just not sure he’ll get the chance here with everyone else ahead of him. I think they’ll just draft a #3 instead of paying him.

Long term, maybe. For just this year I’d think CJGJ is more useful than WR4 or even WR5 since he doesn’t play much ST’s.

Not sure what Hassanein looks like at this point.

Mo Kamara was a guy in the mold of APR in last years draft. Undersized sack machine. He might have a little more strength to him.

He was one of Kollman's big draft crushes, and I think the stock exchange guys loved him too.

Nah that's antiquated and doesn't work...

Not to mention... running the ball is boring. 😴

Ferrell is a vested veteran which means he is an unrestricted free agent free to sign with any team. And, personally, I would roll the dice on him. Even coming on into the draft, he was known for setting the edge. Would be a good addition IMO

I started seeing that ad right after he played in the 1st pre-season game. roll

You dont see Jihaad Campbell ads. But you get that.

I find it hard to believe they actually produced them.

6 DT is pretty heavy. Have to assume Young or Hall are first to go when they need to add a player.

Michael Clay not doing a good job of fighting for his guys huh? No RS, no LS.

We ran a 5-2 at times last year. That gives us 3 DT starters and 3 backups

Yet he was so slow on the KGs, mind bottling…

Its a long term move not a 2025 move. And thats fine

Oh and bring Toohill home…

I thought Granson flashed during the preseason. Great execution on the pick play TD, that nice sideline catch, easy mover. Probably would prefer a blocking TE tho

Blocking TEs who can catch are very hard to come by, so beggars can’t be choosers.

Also, Granson as a vested veteran who won’t doesn’t have to go through waivers, so Practice Squad makes more sense for him right now.
