What’s up, guys? I’ve been quiet on here lately. The truth is, I’ve been going through a rough stretch with my mental health. I wasn’t sure whether to say anything, but with June being Men’s Mental He

Is the international exemption only for a year?

Nah, I don't think it even has a limit. Matt Leo was here for awhile. This is the second year for Lakahalahowever you spell his name

Dickerson practicing, what a monster. It's been 2 weeks.

Any chance they look to bring back Epps?

PHLY Eagles pod is such a difficult listen now without Berman. Just awful.

Google says he is the shortest center in the last 25 years. The next closest seems to be 6'2.

I don't think DT is deeper.

We lost Milton Williams, Thomas Booker and the occasional plays Graham would line up at DT. We replaced that with a 3rd round rookie whose preseason shows he either needs time or may not be the player everyone thought he was going to be a few months ago. Everyone else on the team this year was on the team last year, either on the roster or the PS.

On the surface your statement is correct … but it ignores likely year to year improvements of the players who span both seasons. Ojomo is clearly much better than he was last year. Whether 2025 Ojomo is better than 2024 Williams time will tell. Time will tell whether 2025 Davis is better than 2024 Davis, and 2025 Smith/Hunt is better than 2024 Smith/Hunt (and/or 2024 Sweat/Huff).

Stepnoski was 6'1 290 for the Cowboys along with a guy named Jack Ringo who was 6'1 235 for the Packers in the 60s.

Sports media was much better when they had to write it for the newspaper.

There's something to be said to having to wait for things. The next day sports page, AM Sports Center etc. It was better then and you can't convince me otherwise.

So then there was no real reason to release Hughlett besides Howie wanted to troll the beat writers contest

Not necessarily. It could have been a move to let the flurry of waiver wire moves happen and then by waiving Keegan later, teams that were snapping up backup OL might have taken a different guy instead and let him pass through to the PS unscathed. Now once on the PS, teams can still sign him away, but he has the chance to say no... or the Eagles could try to flip more roster spots around to bring him up and put someone else down.

So, I don't think there was 'no reason', I think it was a 4D chess move rather than anything less meaningful.

Camera angle is hilarious

Safety - CJGJ is a big loss in my opinion. Turnover machine, good tackler, tough player. Mukuba may be good, but he'll have to be very good. CJGJ also opens Blankenships game a lot. Big loss.

Turnover machine is a trifle hyperbolic. He was also a blown coverage machine. He was a good tackler when he was actually in position, but that tackling prowess was mitigated when he failed to show the necessary discipline to be in position.

How does/did CJGJ "open Blankenship’s game”?

I don't think it is that hyperbolic. In two seasons with the Eagles he had 12 interceptions. He had a nose for the ball no doubt.

He did also have his fare share of blown coverages but whether it is Brown or Makuba we are going to get those blown coverages with them too.

Well, Sam Howell will be able to see over Lampkin

Career trajectory is not linear in the NFL. Some players improve, some plateau, some take a step back.

How is Ojomo "clearly" better than he was last year? Because some beat writers that half the board think they have no idea what they are watching said he had a good camp? We haven't seen anything yet.

Remember when Devin White was having an awesome camp last year and then didn't play at all? Or when Patrick Robinson had the worst camp for a player some of the beats have ever seen and then went on to be a key piece for the first Super Bowl run?

Optimistically speaking, yes, Davis could take a leap. Ojomo could prove to be the monster the tweets have said he is. Hall maybe is better than last year. I just don't think you can say as of today any of those things are certain or locks.

Stepnoski was so good I hated it. That whole Dallas OL was unfair.

How do we give Cooper a new number, because 41 ain't it.

Dude really kept 41. No intel on if Bennett kept 49.

All thanks to Reggie and Brown destroying them

That would seem counterintuitive to me. Wouldn't it be easier sneaking him to the PS with the masses to hide him? The Eagles just signaled to the league that Keegan was good enough for their initial 53 and is now available with a spotlight on him.

I think if anything they wanted to put Hughlett on the PS but some teams were offering him a job and forced the issue.
