You would not believe how much wrestling is a good foundation for leverage between that and the cross training of Judo into collegiate wrestling. I wrestled into college and pursued MMA after college. I could take anyone down pretty easily. The core strength and understanding of leverage you get from that background is amazing.

You can see the wrestling pedigree in Mason Graham, Michigan and Browns rookie.

You might end up being right, but I don't think the Eagles agree right now. They've previously shown very little interest in C-only players, and he's definitely not beating out Jurgens.

They drafted McMahon just one year ago.

I didn’t think any of the backs we saw in the second half of the preseason games looked particularly good. I was always kind of surprised when I read praises about them. They were the JAGGIEST of JAGS, I thought.

I liked Estime a lot at Notre Dame. Not real fast but he’s powerful. Was disappointed the Eagles didn’t draft him last year and was surprised yesterday when I saw the Broncos had waived him.

The OL was pretty much right there with the Jagginess, as well.

And then what'd they do?

They cut him because he didn't make the cut... after they drafted him. Which shows some level of interest, doesn't it?

Joe Burrow named MVP of the preseason. Wow, big win.

The contrast between McMahon and Kendall is pretty telling.

They saw McMahon couldn’t play guard, and they wanted to develop him for a year on the PS to see if he ever could. You can’t roster a C-only player unless you have eyes on him as a long term starter, which sure as hell isn’t happening with Lampkin.

So who's CB2 and should we he concerned?

Week 1 Adoree Jackson. By week 3 we should see Bennett there. Depends on if Bennett can play as well as he did with Raiders. We should be monitoring this but not concerned until the trade deadline passes.

Powell looked good, Eagles chose Estime over Powell and Montrell Johnson. I thought both those guys had good camps, so Eagles must like Estime a lot.

Estime certainly looked better than these other sub jag level backs they seem to bring in every year. I did like the experimental idea of the former niner backs but they weren't the good ones. Estime at least can come right in and help a bit if ever needed.

The goalposts just moved.

Izell Jenkins and no.

No, the ones for the TikToks.

Was out today and missed all the fun since the waivers were released. Lampkin is intriguing. Probably won't work out but it's interesting. He's been good everywhere even though people keep saying he shouldn't be.

Surprised the LBs from Toledo didn't make it to PS. A little surprised McCollum was cut but they must have thought Sam was close and he made it to PS. Glad McCord and APR made it fwiw. RB interesting, Kempski had mentioned him.

You said that they have had very little interest in Center-only players. They drafted one just last year. Then you immediately pivoted to a different argument... about long term starters, yada yada. You don't draft a guy that's a center only if you have no interest in that, especially right after you drafted and elevated a young center to be the foundation of the OL for the foreseeable future. The timing of the selection of McMahon would put a pretty big hole in the argument that the team had very little interest in a center only. They had some level to draft McMahon. Kendall was equally considered a center only in the draft process, and while he played some snaps at OG in the preseason, I wouldn't say he thrived there. Maybe @just relax sees something different in Kendall.

They why put a claim on him because he sure as hell ain't a G.

It says something about how starved NFL teams are for cornerbacks that 9 of the 27 players which teams claimed off waivers were CBs.

Wrong. I said they cut McMahon because he doesn’t have guard versatility. The next year they drafted a center who does.

Kendall needing to be able to play guard in a pinch isn’t even a debate. It’s neon sign obvious. He’s significantly bigger than McMahon, hence my "contrast” comment.

Lampkin is an extreme outlier body type at any position on the OL, that’s the whole reason a player of his quality went undrafted. He needs to be good enough at guard to be one of the 8ish active guys on game day (not necessarily this year, but if he’s gonna stick). If the Eagles weren’t at least curious enough to try him at guard, they wouldn’t have claimed him.
