Why did the Flyers ever trade him? I know he's not a perfect defender, but what a weapon he can be.

Definitely the highest, as well as #7, #14, and #20. Don’t see the other two.

That’s a bit misleading. The first two games listed, there was no competition. The other games involved teams that were significant draws last year (Birds, Lions, Ravens). Frankly, the first game listed was folks that fell asleep from eating turkey with the game on.

It's not misleading. There is no competition on any prime time game throughout the season except for the two weeks where they want to have two MNF games.

Tell that to RTK.

They traded Ghost, a 2nd and a 7th for nothing. Literally, nothing. Wasn’t even a trade — just a salary dump.

All to free up salary to acquire ….. Ryan Ellis

Celtics about to go down 3-1 and Tatum flailing on the ground like he just tore his achilles.

Bailey goes 2 to SA to pair with wemby

I think Dylan Harper is the more likely pick at 2.

I'm just wondering how Rutgers went 15-17 with 2 top 5 picks on their team. Was the rest of the team that bad?

Celtics might get broken up after the season is over. Giannis might get traded to the West. Eastern conference could be wide open next year.

I saw some people saying the NFL should implement a lottery. It's a terrible idea. Every year people have recency bias and way overrate the issue of tanking. It's not a huge issue in sports. The narrative of tanking "ruining sports" is so overplayed it's absurd. If there was a lottery nothing would change in terms of quality of play on the field. Hell, if the entire draft was randomized picks, you wouldn't. Bad teams will look bad, and at the end of a season when they're demoralized from all the losing and can't wait for the season to be over, they will look like they quit. It wouldn't change a damn thing. And in the NBA they rest players, but hell, even good teams do that.

All lotteries do is hurt parity and worsen competitive balance of your sport. The NFL doing it would be a disaster and an awful overreaction to something that isn't even a problem. Honestly, the NBA should do away with it. They're hypocrites anyway. They frown on tanking and then starting in March they advertise the lottery and air it on national TV with sponsors, guests and analysts. Talk about the ultimate hypocrisy. "Tanking is awful for our sport... but tune into the NBA lottery so we can celebrate sucking... sponsored by Kia!"

Still think the draft is rigged

If the NFL ever adopted a lottery, it probably would be the end for me. There’s no reason for it at all in this sport.

The Flyers are the worst ran organization in Philadelphia. If not for completely lucking into Michkov, they would be completely rudderless.

The Sixers are trying so hard to take that crown.

I don’t really follow basketball but I’d still say the Sixers are worse. Roster building should be much simpler in the NBA and the Sixers don’t seem to have a clue.

Reading is fundamental. Look at the graph again. NBC games are Sunday night national games, but most of the Fox and CBS games are regional contests that are only broadcast to a portion of the nation. In capturing audience those games have "competition” from other regional games on their own network, as well as the game being broadcast on the other network.

After both the NHL and NBA lotteries the last 2 weeks, both leagues walked away wtih more reasons to believe they are rigged than not. The NHL wasn't as obvious, but the NBA, I mean come on. Just shows how little the commmon man's mindset is respected.

The play call wasn't up to Hurts, it was Sirianni's call. Philly Special was Foles' call.

But, they are dramatically different for other reasons. The Dagger was against an already defeated opponent. It was 27-0, late in the 3rd quarter and the game was well in hand, in fact, they didn't need any more points.

The Philly Special was just before the half when the score was 15-12.

Apples and oranges to compare the two.

Fun conversation. But, the gunslinging I was referring to was about a game long thing, not a moment in time. Incidentally, I would say that Foles did gunsling against Brady in SB LII... Lots of big moment throws on BOTH sides, which is what makes it such. It wasn't a lopsided affair. Foles had the deep TD to Jeffery, Philly Special, TD to Clement, another deep pass that ended as an INT that should have been a completion to Jeffery, the 4th and 1 to Ertz, and then finally the go ahead TD to Ertz. Brady was the first to ever pass for over 500 yards in the SB, IIRC. That's a duel. Hurts vs. Mahomes in the first Super Bowl matchup could be considered one... sadly, one the Eagles lost. On the flip side, this most recent matchup doesn't have that duel relationship of back and forth, etc. And that's what makes the difference in my mind.

Even that example wasn't a game long thing. Brady didn't start "slinging it" until the 2nd half, and that's when he shredded our defense. Also, Foles technically lost the duel but won the game.

And no, the dagger was the TD to Smitty. Yeah, I think most Eagles fans felt it was pretty much over 27-0, but "28-3" is a meme for a reason. There were still some folks (and I'm sure some Chiefs players) that had a sliver of hope for a rally/comeback, but that bomb to Smitty was the nail in the coffin.

Selfishly, a Black Firday at game at 8pm in the evening? If you are in Europe

Hey, condescending a-hole Matt. No crap. I'm pointing out that Tha ksgiving is not the only time you have a national game not go up against any competition from Amy other football game. Every SNF game, nearly every MNF game, every Thursday game and you have a handful of Saturday games as well in addition to some Christmas games and a Black Friday game.

Such a bizarre and weird hill for you to try to die on to act like the Cowboys are not a big TV draw. They were able to get these ratings last year too with being dreadful and a backup QB for most of the year.

Vikings are playing back to back international games. Against the Steelers in Dublin and then against the Browns in London.
