Calcaterra has been kept as injury insurance for Goedert’s receiving skills/attributes. Stoll could never fulfill that function. He was only injury insurance for Goedert’s in line blocking.

No crap sherlock. Unfortunately Calcaterra is a complete non-factor in the receiving game so it's meaningless.

This Eagles should be able to handle the Broncos with ease if they play even 85% of what they are capable of.

Hard to read into the reaction much. Tyreek there has a crazy amount of adrenaline surging through roughly 3-5 braincells. We're lucky he wasn't speaking in tongues.

Or the injury isn't as bad as all the doctors on here think it is.

Why should he? The flags usually come regardless, so why pull up? It's going to be 15 yards nearly every time anyway, why not take the free shot on the QB, especially if he's going to go down that late? If I was a defender, the hit would be coming everytime, because fines and flags are constant even for nonsense so I might as well get my money's worth.

Thank you. You make my point for me.

If he was letting up he never would have extended his arm to strike Hurts.

Wouldn’t he as opposed to striking Hurts with his helmet? Watching it live it’s not a natural looking tackle and looks like he went to brace himself.

Maybe it was intentional, just saying he could have done a lot worse if he was trying to intentionally hurt him.

I’ve been pretty gentle on Hurts so far this year…but here’s a stat I don’t like:

Every QB in the NFL who has played 4 games and most of the QBs who have played 3 have more passing yards than Jalen Hurts through 4.

Meh. Hurts ain't gonna put up numbers in this offense.

Comparing apples and oranges.

He was rushed to the hospital and his leg was backwards. It’s safe to say it’s bad.

Buddy it doesn't take a medical degree to know that legs shouldn't bend that way.

31 apples and 1 orange

Ok fair enough but most of you were still wrong cause you said he snapped his ankle 😜

I didn't see it, I was just being an ass... Still wasn't his ankle that most were saying lol.

Goedert 10 starts in 2024 496 yards.

Calcaterra 7 starts 298 yards. 49.6 yards per start versus 42.6 yards per start. Complete non-factor?

That orange is one of 2 to be 4-0. So I'd say...*puts in sunglasses*...the juice is worth the squeeze.

He could have. You are correct. But he also could have sailed over Hurts without contacting him at all.

LMAO, the guys has 35 receptions for 540 yards and 1 TD for his entire career in 51 games. You also conveniently left out that the one game he started in place of Goedert this season he had a whopping 1 catch for 6 yards. Calcaterra shouldn't even be on this roster as he does very little as a receiver and is one of the worst blockers in the league at the position. As a backup and for a team who likes to run so much out of 12 personnel he is a total liability. Choosing to "die on this hill" is laughable......even for you.

I don't understand why they can't adapt it so he can. If they would scheme plays to get Brown open past the same go deep or come back his numbers would increase a lot. When he has the ball in space he is a monster. If they get him going suddenly Barkley will have a lot more space. Steal plays from the Rams. I don't care.

That game tonight by the Bengals was utterly pathetic. I don't care if you are missing Joe Burrow. That doesn't account for all of the pre-snap penalties, holding calls, etc that put them in long yardage situations. Their defense plays with zero hustle and can't tackle. Worst of all their coach who has always been an overrated moron quit on his team tonight. He chose to put his starters out there with 3 minutes left down by 25 points to try to get a drive going and on 4th and 3 from the 40 yard line he chooses to punt. What a cowardly decision. We should molly whop the Broncos.

I tend to think so as well, although the line being -4.5 at home tells me that Vegas isn’t exactly loving the Eagles here.

Either way, I have bad news for AJ. I don’t see this as being the matchup that he gets his big day against.

We really are lucky

He’s averaging 5.5 yards a game this year and just played FORTY NINE PERCENT of the snaps. He’s been a screaming net negative all year in the BS role they have him playing.

There’s no defending his usage; it’s one of the most inexplicably dumb personnel decisions I can ever recall.

Just trade a stale bag of chips for Stoll and call it a day.
