It just is what it is when it comes to star WR's.That right there. That's the normal reaction to a star WR who wants the ball.

Nothing more.Yeah sure, you're right. Common sense says everyone in that building loves having a guy always moping around after wins and causing unforced outside noise with the media because he hasn't gotten his personal stats.
8 hours ago8 hr Moving off AJ Brown specifically for a minute, Bo Wulf said this, and I think he's right about it: he thinks if the offense keeps going like this for longer, Lurie is eventually going to step in and sit down with Sirianni to try to force a little change. Lurie believes strongly in an effective passing offense, he's paying a lot of money for an offense that is under performing and I don't think he's going to sit by with his thumb up his ass as an owner if every week the offense can't even get the ball to the 50 for an entire half.I don't know what type of things Lurie would say or demand, but I think if this goes on for longer than a few more weeks, especially against the Giants twice over, I think it'll be sit down time with Lurie and Sirianni.

8 hours ago8 hr 3 minutes ago, NOTW said:No, he wouldn't. Traditionally, WRs are flashy and RBs are workhorses. Barkley is a very humble person. You're creating all these new arguments and comparisons. He's not like Barkley, other guys criticize the offense openly but at least they're "clear statements." Of course, last year Barkley did say he would like to go for the record but respected the coach's decision, and many fans debated that it was disrespectful to Barkley and that he would be unhappy. People are always looking to create drama.AJ brings this on himself with some of his posts and reactions, but people also don't give him credit for the positive comments about team winning and that you do whatever it takes to win the game and it doesn't matter what how it looks to people. He also said in the video I posted earlier that a big game with a lot of catches and yards doesn't do it for him either, it's not about that. It's not about the stats or achievement, he enjoys the act of competing.Again, this should mostly be shrugged off and people make it more than it needs to be. People want so badly for this to be TO in the driveway doing push ups.My only point comparing him to other players is there is a clear difference between guys like Brown than there is Hurts and Barkley and others when it comes balancing winning and personal achievements. Hurts, if anyone, has the most to complain about but he never does. He literally will say he doesn't care if he only has 100 passing yards because they won. It's clear that one of Sirianni's coaching points is about winning and doing whatever it takes to win. You hear it from basically everyone on the team. So it's not a surprise Brown has made similar comments. All I'm saying is Brown cares about other things as well other than doing whatever it takes to win. Again, it's not a bad thing, but it's painfully obvious at this point. The media is going to take whatever they can and run with it at this point, especially because it keeps happening.

It feels obvious that Nick is emphasizing playing turnover free football, and Patullo is being hyper conservative in order to accomplish that. The issue is since the running game is broken, we can't hold the ball and kill the clock the same way we did last year. I knew we were in trouble in the 2nd half because KP kept calling useless runs into the middle of the line -- he just kept hoping one would break. Hope isn't a play calling strategy. At the very least, run to the outside and give SB a chance to find a seam. The entire philosophy is built on the backs of an outstanding OL and right now we don't have one as too many guys are banged up. The D is essentially on top of Saquon by the time he touches the ball half the time and the other half he only has a yard or so before he is swarmed. Nick has been reluctant to change anything as he is playing long term here and just happy to continue racking up wins until it breaks. Nick has gotten away with it so far but it can't last. The options available as I see it are to sit some guys on OL and get them healthy again or change up their strategy, go hurry up, and sling the ball. I would prefer the former but totally accept the latter. In my mind, we could put Dickerson on IR now and sit Lane for the Giants Thurs game at minimum. Worst case, we would split the next four and be 6-2 and ready post bye. If they insist in playing the linemen at half speed then by all means get up to the line quickly or in hurry up and give Jalen time to figure it out. Also, run it more outside as you say and mix in more Hurts called runs.

The energy in that building when the Flyers are good is unmatched. I'm dying for Flyers playoff hockey.

The only reason why I think that is because Jalen hurts said something similar to what Aj brown said after the Rams game. And I feel like this is AJ Brown saying you guys aren’t listening to us as we are out there seeing what defenses are doing and this is the reason why we have this problem. I do think there’s some sort of tiff between hurts and AJ Brown. But I think this specifically goes to the coaching. That said really believe the Eagles really should’ve brought in Frank Reich to either be a consultant to Patullo or be the OC. Because he knows sirianni and they worked well together. he knows the offense and he’s called plays before. And you don’t have to worry about somebody poaching him to be the head coach. Even that Stanford interim head coaching job I don’t think he would’ve taken it if he already took the OC job here. What was the timeline of when he went to Stanford? Nick is a good coach, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the offense. I get it's hard for Howie and Jeff to tell a guy who just won the SB he can't pick his own OC, but it should have been Reich or someone else who was out there.I also get it was late in the process, but it's hard for me to believe in the entire NFL and college ranks there wasn't a better offensive mind than someone who had never called plays before. Especially, one year removed from that not working.I'd honestly be OK with Hurts calling the plays at this point. He did a good job vs the Rams and has a much better feel than KP. Rush to the line, let him look at the defense, and make the call.

He has been at some point every season he's been here. Even in 2022 during the Giants playoff game. The question is, is he causing problems within the team, and at no point has there ever been an indication it is. Being disgruntled is only an issue if it impacts the team in negative ways. I mean crap, Bill Belichick was miserable about everything and he won a lot of games. I think for AJ it's less "I want better stats!" and more "I know what I'm capable of, I know what this offense is capable of, we should be dominating, we aren't, and it's really bothering me that we aren't and I'm not getting the chance to." I also don't think it's a situation where AJ Brown would've preferred to lose the Super Bowl or Sunday's game vs the Bucs if he had 200 yards receiving either. Both things can be true. AJ Brown is a competitor who wants to dominate, is unhappy when he doesn't even after wins, but still realizes winning is most important. It's that he knows they have the best chance to win when they dominate on offense. The Eagles should have blown the Bucs out by 30 on Sunday. And would have if this passing game and offense overall would've performed to their talent level.I'm glad he's unhappy and I hope he's speaking up behind the scenes because I don't want to wait until this terrible offense costs them a game before they decide to fix it. This team should be a juggernaut right now.
8 hours ago8 hr I feel like it's say it a lot but the thing i hate most about this offense is that they very clearly CAN play like a pro football offense. They have the ability!!! They just don't, for long stretches. A lot of it is the coaching staff's (sirianni) hubris. "Well we're winning the way we're playing so it doesn't matter". Well you win that way until you don't, like in 2023.Why do people keep bringing up 2023 even though our defense is better? Because at some point these games are going to wear on the defense. I haven't checked total defensive snaps yet but I would be surprised if our defense wasn't near the top in snaps played. The defense basically has to be perfect every game to keep the games close or to protect a lead, it's a great unit but at some point they're not going to be able to bail out the offense. Whether that's for one game or several remains to be seen

I think any player that didn't do much in a game would personally feel a sense of wanting to do more, even in a win. Not everyone expresses it the same. AJ struggles with his mental health as well, and his therapist or life coach or friends or whoever, should encourage him to not express quite everything on social media, or to not be vague. He should know what scrutiny he will get. Hearing from various teammates and coaches and people who know AJ, they all say he's a good person and teammate. I think he may have high expectations on himself, and feels down after a game. There are performers who feel depressed after a big show. Many singers and rock stars, actors and people in the spotlight struggle with depression behind the scenes. If I recall this correctly, Dave Grohl talked about how Kurt Cobain would put on a great stadium performance and then go backstage after and curl himself into a ball in the corner and want to be away from people. Us regular folks judge athletes and celebrities from a distance, but fame and fortune affect people differently. I think AJ is on a good team to absorb all that with him.
