A loss may be the best thing that happens to this team. Scratching out wins against teams albeit some the better teams, is not the standard they talk so much about. The got a get right game this week after a short week. Winning cures everything but we need to see a convincing win with consistency for 4 quarters.

At this point, they need to start seeing who they might be able to bring in at OL so Dickerson can get right and in case of further injuries. Toth/Pryor aren't cutting it as first guys off the bench.

Eagles first 5 weeks was brutal. Heck their schedule after the bye is too. First five opponents are 2-2-1 cowboys, 2-2 Chiefs (potentially 3-2 after tomorrow), 3-2 rams, 4-1 bucs and 3-2 broncos. I’m guessing no one in the league has faced a tougher schedule. 14-9-1 combined.

After the bye is ridiculous. Potentially 6-7 playoff teams.

Got a nice 3 games stretch here to get some good vibes. I think the Giants have a competent enough DL that neither game will be a walkover. The Vikings will be another blitz heavy test. I expect that the offense will adjust to what they are as opposed to what they were last year and move back to the RPO spread concepts that Jalen is a better fit for and Saquon might be able to find some daylight out of. Defensively, it should be less challenging and a good gelling period for the rookies, Ringo and some of the rotational pieces.

I think that Vikings game is going to be tougher than we think. Not saying they aren’t going to win but Patullo is going to face a Brian Flores. That’s a big test for patullo. At least we have extra days prior.

That said the Eagles in my opinion, still have the most talent of any roster. the issue to me is like 2023 where they have to put it together for all 60 minutes. This team is far more talented than that year. But same question are they going to give you a full 60 minutes and a complete game. Sadly right now the last time the Eagles gave you a complete 60 minutes was in Super Bowl 59.

Eagles would've won and be 5-0 without the bad calls.

Taking a step back, the results in the second half for the offense were not there but this was a step forward from the passing game relative to second half last week.

Are there things to fix - for sure. We still had 3 straight 3 and outs, after a drive with 1 first down which simply cant happen. But there were signs of life:

• Deep shot to AJ was close - just need to get our two key guys on the same page

• RPO worked but for OL being downfield

• The 4th down play worked but for penalty on Saquon

• The made some (but not enough) plays in desperation mode

Yes there are execution issues to fix: penalties, run blocking, sacks / holding on to the ball, more balanced play-calling BUT this wasn't as bad a 2nd bad half showing as last week (and yes - that is a very low base to compare from)

I kind of think that vikings game is going to be a lot like today’s game. They don’t have nix but they have an excellent DC and KOC is a good offensive mind. I think we win but it’s going to be a really tough game.

Gannon is now 14-25 and heading nowhere. They just finished the easy part of their schedule with 3 games vs likely top 5 picking teams in the next draft. (New Orleans, Carolina, Tennessee)

One remained a fumble and the other was overturned. Frankly i still don’t know how either of those could’ve been overturned from what was originally ruled

There should be an eye in the sky in the stadium or back at NY that quickly looks at reviews and applies actual standards, not what idiots called on the field or agenda.

The game is slow as hell and always has been. Holding up a possible turnover and 15 yard penalty calls an extra 45 seconds is not going to hurt anything.

Hope they decide to actually run the ball next week. 38 passing attempts and only 11 rushes this week is brutal. Broncos must've been pleased that they didn't have to strategize, just defend the pass since the Eagles weren't calling any run plays. Even more brutal is that they had that many pass plays while leading for a majority of the game. Like, did they suddenly forget you are supposed to keep it on the ground to burn clock when you have the lead? I don't know who's brilliant idea it was to keep passing it every down with a 17-3 lead, but they need to own it.

And yet those plays still burn clock, only 23 of those 38 passing plays burned clock (since they were completions) the other 15 stopped it. Keeping it on the ground when you have the lead is basic crap, they've gotten most of their wins this way. Also, Hurts has had much more success running it so far this year than Barkley, but they didn't even call any actual run plays with him in this one, the only times he ran was when he was trying to escape a sack.
