All coaching. Nothing to do with the health of the OL. Nothing to do with how the opponents are playing the run.

If you listen to the folks that tell you what you are seeing, they are saying that defenses are being more aggressive at the LOS. They are replicating much of what Spags did in the SB. Sending the LB or S into the gap voided by the pulling OL and getting to Barkley in the backfield. They can do this because they don't worry as much about Hurts keeping the ball. Last year they ran a counter play that was consistently successful. I don't remember seeing it at all this season. IMO, he needs to run the ball more.

Sheesh, "it’s the coaching” doesn’t mean there are no OL issues. It means that this OL isn’t THAT bad.

You’re saying teams are copying Spags’ approach to playing us. You know what would help against that? Good offensive coaching.

Saquon is such a positive dude and has such a great attitude that I can't help but take this with a grain of salt. He would say that even if Patullo was in there saying they're going to run James Franklin's PSU offense

Really? At the end of it? Wow, I have to re listen today.

Yup. Jeff Kaye was the guy who was doing most of the season in review videos by that point. Here's a still from the 1991 NFL Video yearbook, "Heart of a Champion".

Here's the link to the video above, if you want to compare the voices.

Harry Kalas did the narration for the 1990 video yearbook. But, it definitely wasn't Facenda. He died in 1984.

QBs often speak about working on their deficiencies in the offseason. Working to better their craft and advance their abilities as a QB. Considering that running an offense from under center is a deficiency for Jalen. Why doesn't he work on that part of his game in the offseason? If he became proficient in operating the offense from under center. That would add a new branch to the offensive tree. Something unexpended to expand off of.

If Laurie wasn't so broke he could afford some less predictable play calling. He's so cheap.

He's struggled since House went off the air.

Hard to say what he does in the offseason other than staring at asses in the weight room.

It sounds like he does. He works on mechanics and has reached out to Payton to pick his brain.

Maybe he just needs to see if Peyton would go over some film with him.

I know I'll get slaughtered for this, but I wouldn't hate McCarthy as an offensive consultant. His offenses were always productive. But I think they have to bring in an experienced mentor of some kind for KP.

whatever it takes to right this ship.

Lurie could take one for the team and have a sleepover with McCarthy

More concerned about defense than offense right now. Because the offense has the talent to figure it out. Defense has fatal flaws in the secondary and potentially D-line, that could hijack this season alone. If Mitchell doesn't play it will be an uphill battle to beat any team right now. There's just no backup plan there that works right now. Again, I'd take CJGJ and put him in the slot and then move Cooper to CB2 and we have a fighting chance. Can always cut CJGJ if he acts up. There's really very little risk. Sirianni cried together with this guy in the Superbowl on the sidelines. Just find it hard to believe he couldn't help here with this dire situation.

Rickey Scoops going nuts on Twitter right now.

I agree he should run more. They should run more out of shotgun and pass more out of pistol formations.
