Not great that Carter is questionable.Kinda weird because he said he would play Wednesday and was a FP, but then limited the last two days.Mitchell is surprising given his position and how crucial hamstrings are for it. I wonder if they just held him out as precaution against the Giants because of the turf and he didn't really pull anything.Dickerson I'm guessing plays but he didn't look like he was moving great in those limited clips from practice.

Yet, they've been winning and Hurts was clutch in the playoffs and won a Super Bowl. There was a time that fans would argue that despite a player performing well, he hasn't won a playoff game or Super Bowl so that was a criticism. Now we have a QB who wins but that's not enough. Hurts always talks about winning matters more and it's a really interesting conversation because winning the game is truly the only thing that matters. The rest is personal accolades and fantasy stats. The argument would be easier if they were losing games, missing the playoffs, etc. because then a lot more fans would be calling for a change at QB. We compare to other QBs around the league...who don't win anything.Hurts isn't going anywhere soon, so they have to coach to his strengths. Siri knows what the offense needs to be and is responsible for selecting the OC and dictating the game plan, and making changes if necessary to do what suits the players he has.Prisoner of the moment. They lost the last 2. And the last one was REALLY ugly. Everyone wants a solution to the issues, some grasp at straws, others cling to the deficiencies they are conveinced have been hiding in plain sight despite winning... all based on being Eagles' fans above all. Just different perspectives from different folks. There's something to be said for winning despite ugly play. It sure beats losing with ugly play. But, it would be better if we didn't have the ugly play that needed to be overcome.

16 hours ago16 hr I'd take a crippled one eye, one arm and one legged Landon Dickerson over a perfectly healthy Brett Toth. That guy is brutal and not an NFL player. Dickerson is gonna be hobbling at this point, just like Embiid. Pretty broken down with one too many injuries. We may just have to prepare for life after him in the offseason.

16 hours ago16 hr Some reporters have mentioned this, but I agree. The Eagles should just run an RPO focused offense going forward to kick start things. They are good at it, it's what they do best. If you can't scheme guys open, at least use the threat of Hurts' legs and/or Barkley as a means to misdirect the defense. It may not be the sexiest, but I guarantee it'll be far more effective than the BS they're running. RPO has been effective this year when they've ran it.I think they don't because they're worried about Hurts getting hit because for an RPO to be effective, he's gonna have to take off and run sometimes to keep the defense honest. But tough. The offense blows. They aren't gonna win with the crap they're running.(By RPO I mean including zone read and read option there as well. Basically a college offense)

16 hours ago16 hr I think it's fruitless to play forum doctor. I'll just trust the Eagles are doing what's best for their players. They aren't the Sixers where they'd let Embiid swim in a lake that tested positive for flesh eating bacteria with gaping wounds.

I have no doubt he wants to play and is pushing for it but if the plan is to just shoot him up with painkillers pregame, I don't see how playing is beneficial for the season.

RPO has been effective this year when they've ran it.I think that's been Sirianni's MO when things go bad with this team. He tends to go back to the safe and tried methods. And starts putting the ball in Jalen's hands with the RPO. And maybe see a healthy dose of the short passing game with AJ slants and Goedert screens. Which is what I'm hoping for at least. Gotta go back to doing the fundamentals right first. May not be sexy, but effective. And Vikings can certainly be ran on. So I expect long time consuming drives this weekend, as the base recipe for success. Have to play a boring and mistake free game and just get the W. Then build from there. This will benefit the worn out defense especially.

They should put Pryor at LG, rest Dickerson because he's going to end up making his injury worse. It's not worth a season ending injury. He rushed back in the first place and hasn't been right. Rest him, be healthy for after the bye. The rest of the O line is healthy now, and if Lane has to go out they know Fred Johnson is the right backup to replace him when needed.
15 hours ago15 hr Yeah! Hurts Sucks!!! We'd never be able to get into the playoffs with such a QB.... Oh wait.Fine, even if we squeak in, we'd be a one done...Oh wait. Well, if we did manage to get by somehow we'd never make it to the championship game!!! Oh wait. Well if by some miracle we actually did get to the big dance, there would be no way in the world we'd actually be able to win it!!! Oh wait

They aren't the Sixers where they'd let Embiid swim in a lake that tested positive for flesh eating bacteria with gaping wounds. The doctors aren't really going to limit a player based on functionality. They will typically only put limits in place based on risk of further injury. Beyond that it is likely pain tolerance and whether the player thinks he can play. My guess is that Landon is pushing to play and they don't think whatever is going on with his ankle and knee is going to get much worse with him playing. That's not to say he's not going to be functionally limited or wouldn't be improved if he rested.

Pretty much the season is on the line here in my mind. 3 straight losses and the season may be going off the rails. Gotta put all the chips on the table to start this game. Hope there's a sense of desperation that there should be. We can hope that we get him thru these next 2 games without further issues to the bye week.
