I found them both to be repetitive and uninteresting. 4for4 spent most of his time going off on Howie and Lurie to the point where he got pissy when I told him it sounded like he needed to go cheer for another team. Mike spent all his time complaining about the salary cap and going back-and-forth with RTK trying to be Idiot Of The Year -- to the point I became convinced they were, in fact, the same person -- and he ended up on the ignore list.

They only needed a few yards for a 1st, and that play looks like it worked as designed even if the OL messed up. (if it was supposed to be RPO, or RSO)

Given how seldom Hurts is running these days it is hard to imagine they are running any RPOs. The Option of Hurts actually running isn’t credible.

Dean looked really good yesterday. Saw him shoot the wrong gap twice but you can’t tell he was hurt. I’m still livid about taking the DROTY off the field though.

Here is my lost of guys who have been pleasant surprises -- this won't have stars we expect to be great (L. Johnson as an example), and in no particular order:

1. Jordan Davis - especially with Carter missing 2 games and not being as dominant, JD has really stepped up. While the stats haven't been there the last few weeks, he's remained a monster at DT.

2. Moro Ojomo -- 3 sacks in 7 games, and that's without JC next to him for 2 games (and a lesser version of JC in the other 5). To put it in context, MW had 5 sacks all season last year. Ojomo has seamlessly replaced him.

3. Jihaad Campbell -- guy has been a top LB in the NFL as a rookie, which is bananas.

4. Q -- he's better than last year in an increased role, traveling with the top WR quite often.

5. Coop -- he's the best slot corner in the NFL, and I will hear no argument.

I've got really nobody on offense. Smitty has been great, but that was expected. Hurts as well.

DUM was a genuine sociopath. He kept extensive files on everybody here and he viciously attacked Va_Eagle through threatening emails. 4X4 wasn't too far behind him. There seems to be a willingness to assume people in here are normal well-adjusted human beings...the internet is full of lunatics.

Nothing is open here until AJ and Hurts improvise. Dotson isn't open.

It was never a designed run option for Hurts. His eyes don't come down to look at the o-line. He isn't reading the LB. If it was meant to be a screen why doesn't Barkley immediately get into his route? I think it was always him as a check down. I think his first read probably was to Dotson and you're right he could have thrown that ball. One reason that it is not open, from Hurts' perspective, is the safety must be at least looking at it. If AJ was running deep or Goedert and Smith were running crossers the safety would have to at least look at those routes before jumping Dotson's route. The route combos do not create any sort of confusion for the defense.

I really liked the energy of Dean...it was good to see him contributing. I really want a smackdown this coming weekend and my concern is that the Eagles defense struggle to control emotions. I am hoping someone like Dean and Baun can bring a measured level of violence and keep the hotheads like Carter in check. The Eagles can't afford ejections and dumb penalties.

Hurts is now 11th in passing yards. (This one goes to 11, Spinal Tap reference). He's 9th in TD passes. 1st in fewest INTs (tied with Lamar Jackson and Mayfield, who is having a great season btw). Unfortunately he's 4th in the league for the most sacks, that's got to improve drastically. He's 6th in the league in overall passer rating on the season. 8th in completion percentage.

I don't know, those rankings don't sound like ass, trash and him being the main problem with the offense. 🤔

I was so happy for him to be healthy and playing again, he brought it! I want to see Skatebo humbled next week. Carter also played great, more back to his old self. Go Dawgs.

Stat watching is wild this year. I haven’t really paid attention the past few weeks but week 3 I think it was. 5 QB’s threw for 200 or less and won. That’s just wild in the era where the rules are schemed so hard to make an explosive product.
