If they were worried about him they wouldn't have signed him.Lamm was another miss, but he fixed that by brining back big Fred. Getting DG at a reduced deal was another win.

People wrongly have the idea that Pryor sucks just because he sucked filling in at RT that game. He's an ok starting quality guard. Great to have as a backup.Mind blowing that stoutland doesnt recognize he is the better option over Toth.

But sucking at all 5 OL positions isn't a virtue. Maybe they were REALLY against moving Landon to center in the middle of a game, but if Cam is out this week, either move Landon or start Kendall. Or bring Lampkin off IR. Toth can't start at center. Why Toth started at LG in NY...I got nothing.

And I was there in person.Ah crap... Now I am conflicted.

Monday at 08:04 PM2 days That Acho breakdown is really interesting and I just love the smarts of Smitty there! Absolutely love that.

Now that Ojomo is producing more than Milt did last year, he needs to attack everything Howie has done. The one legit criticism for Howie and the coaching staff was misplaced confidence in Ringo. But letting Milton, Sweat, Slay and Becton walk was fine as the replacements have been adequate and much more cost effective. And picking up JD's 5th year option is looking like a genius call. CB2 was the big whiff - I would have signed Rodgers (yeah, we smoked him yesterday) in the Adoree role, and reports are we tried but Rodgers disputed that.Ojomo is not Milt....at all. Still say that! Milton plays everywhere on the line and can be a chess piece. A lot of peeps thought he was a JAG because of Carter. Carter/Williams is a totally different combination than Carter/Ojomo. I don't care what the stat nerds say. Gonna trust my eyes there and who consistently wreaks havoc. With all that said, Ojomo is a nice rotational player. And cheap. I get it. Howie still had many chances to sign Williams not just in free agency. He did butcher that! And I can see that Howie did objectively screw up this offseason with a bunch of moves. And not having enough money is just an excuse for a good bunch of it. Talent evaluation has been off here...
Monday at 08:07 PM2 days If anyone says anything positive about Emmanuel Acho, it's a permaban. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

Have no idea why Howie wouldn't look into Justin Simmons, Asante Samuels Jr (when medically cleared) and Christian Wilkins. Won't cost you draft choices. Just money, for a half season. There's just not much there in those positions if injuries happen. Also, if no on Simmons, bring in CJGJ (practice squad at first). Relying on Jackson, Ringo, Nickerson, Robinson, Young and Brown to play any meaningful snaps could be our demise. Since when is our strongest position linebacker? Crazy times. Need to shed 5 roster spots at least on the depth chart in the next few weeks for me to have full faith in this defense not tiring out by playoff time and maintaining success.Bringing in ONE OF Simmons, CJGJ, or Samuel AND trading for a legit upgrade at CB2, along with getting Smith back from injury and bringing back BG would provide a massive boost to the defense without having to give up much in the way of draft capital. They could probably get a fairly significant upgrade at CB2 for a 4th round pick. Right now there is ZERO depth in the secondary or at edge.

Nolan and BG being added to Hunt/Uche/Ojulari/Johnson is 6 bodies at edge, and I'm not sure who they add that can really add value. The only one I think that makes sense at edge is Chubb -- low cost (draft capital and cap) and played for Vic before. Given what Vic asks of his edge players (drop into coverage, be versatile), I don't think you can bring in just anyone. At CB, I don't know who out there could come in and learn a complicated system in time. You see Coop and Q seamlessly trading off coverage, and that's a big ask of a midseason acquisition. I think they try and get Bennett to take the job.If they have any hope of winning a SB trading for an upgrade at CB2 is an absolute must. There were guys running all over the field wide open yesterday and thankfully Wentz is Wentz. Getting Smith back from injury and BG back from retirement will be massive for the edge position and while I am not against trading for a Chubb for example if the price is right I don't think it's a must. CB2 is a must to say the least.
