Yup, that and his lack of awareness with the ref standing right next to him.

Ive seen athletes do a lot of dumb things in all sorts of sports and this may be the most mind numbing dumb founded idiotic thing done by an athlete ive seen in a long time, maybe ever.

Yes, and I don't know if he even really thinks he did anything that bad. Which is equally as concerning. Spitting on someone is so low and scumbaggish, I just have no respect or many words for that behavior.

Silver lining. He looks so bad tonight that there's no way they can bring him back as a starter for week 2. If he was even mediocre tonight, they might try to stick with him to see if he improves. Vic can't defend his play and keep him at CB2 moving forward. Lots to be seen with Bennett, but I'd rather Adoree crap the bed ASAP so we can move on as soon as possible.

When you are playing 8-10 yards off consistently and still getting roasted that's a problem. I'm not even sure he should be on the roster.

Maybe watch that 50+ pass that he dropped in the bucket.

If you have plays where he missed open guys, we'd all like to know. He's 13 of 15 so far.

lol relax. Half his yards came on one play. Would like to see him get the ball to our best players..

Yup, word was we wouldn't really miss much of a beat with Moro stepping in. What a crock of crap that was. Same goes for Hunt replacing Sweat. I am thoroughly disappointed in Davis too. Lost all that weight and is barely noticeable out there. Very very disappointing.

Dude it's only been one half, with no Carter who makes everyone around him better. Last year fans were ripping the defense in the first few weeks and then they got it together, became the number one defense and won the super bowl. Let's see how they all do in the next few weeks

NFL should add a pitch clock to speed this up lol

I have a colonoscopy tomorrow morning so I wasn’t going to be sleeping much anyway but this still stinks.

The most awesome nap known to man...the prep usually sucks though.

What a dumb arse.

I don’t know about that. I think he would be a solid starter. I don’t think he’s worth $100 million like the Patriots think he is. He is gonna get labeled as a bust cause he’s never living up to that contract but if he was paid what he is as a solid starting DT i think he would wind up being viewed more favorably

Williams was a solid starter with a quick get off. He looked bad early a times in run defense. It’s just hard to judge Ojomo without Carter being on the field.

Chances Carter is suspended more than a game?

No one has ever been suspended for spitting on another player. Fines yes. But the NFL is cracking down this year on player misconduct so I'd expect them to make an example out of Carter and suspend him for 1 game.

I don’t care what he said to him. It was a chicken ish move that completely swung the tone of the game and he left his teammates hanging. He would have 60 minutes to get after him to get his revenge. One of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen. Would have had more respect for him if he took a swing at him.

I don’t disagree, it just made the whole situation so much more worse

They keep hyping up Dak, talking about his incredible tackle when Mitchell picked up the fumble. They just can't help themselves.

I don't like the hype Dak gets 24/7 but that was a very heads up play to stop a TD.

I think the fair thing would be this:

The ejection he got

The humiliation he is now getting.

The fine.

And he gets a free punch at Dungy if Dungy dares to question him as a man, like a man, to his face.

Bennett gets the nod, cut Jackson sign Gilmore or maybe Samuel Jr. as a FA. Sign ZaDarius Smith for edge.

Aside from Carter spitting, I don't get what he was even doing over by the Cowboys players to begin with. He kinda wandered over there by himself with a bunch of Dallas players. Not sure what he was even doing over there.

Last year with the kickoff rules, Jake kicks it out of the EZ. BVS doesn't tear his ACL, there's no break in the play with players lingering and Carter isn't afforded the chance to be a POS.

Dak tried to pull a Spadaro!!! Carter protected his turf!

That has been his MO...he likes to get close to the opposing team's huddle and chirp away. It is a very young defense but someone on the field needs to step and keep everyone's focus on the game. It is unfortunate that even needs to be a thing...It sure looks the refs are taking notice of all the Eagles' antics from last year. They need to grow up...and quickly...

I am looking for Mukuba and Bennett to be bright spots in this last part. And at least an 8 point victory for Birds and I'm still pretty bullish overall for a 1st game, which can always be unpredictable.

Especially , since the Chiefs are up next.

The refs around the league have been terrible for the last several years, watching other games with other teams and being unbiased you see it all the time too. They are going in the wrong direction with rule changes and making the game softer and less fun to watch.

I think that's why they talked so much about it. If he doesn't make that tackle the game is over...31-20 and at minimum that is a 10 point swing, if not a 14 point swing...game over...no one was catching him if Dak hadn't.

If I was Sirianni I’d leave him at home for the trip to KC. Watching Carter leave the field he looked like a guy who just doesn’t get it. Not sure how you reach him, but I don’t think a fine does it.
