Never understood the consistent love for David Robertson by this front office. That was insanity. BG brings good vibes and calmness. That's how I'm taking that signing. Not the impact on the field really.

Tbh it’s cause Dombrowski did a crap job in TJ offseason. Estevez and Hoffman left. Replaced them with Romano and Ross who stunk. And Alvarado got suspended. They really had strahm and Kerkering when they signed Robertson and then a trade for Duran. They really screwed the pooch in the offseason relying on Romano, Ross, Kerkering which forced them to hope Robertson had something left.

AJ probably would've scored on that pass if he hadn't literally stopped and given himself up.

Possible. I was screaming at him to just get down. lol

Can the kid from the Rams play this week? I'd take him over Toth.

Think got a better shot at Kendall over that kid.

And at the end of the day - the pitching was better than "good enough” in the post season - it’s the bats that let us down.

I’d make the argument if Dave didn’t spend $62 mil on Walker, Castellanos (2 good at bats and 0-13 in the other, bad base running and poor decisions fielding), Romano, Ross and Kepler (Kody Clemens makes 1.1 mil had better stats than Kepler at $10 mil) probably have better bullpen options for game 1 and 2 and hitting options to beat the dodgers. He has wasted a good amount of resources Middleton has given him.

Here's a stat no one will like:

Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and Bryce Huff have combined for 12.5 sacks so far this year.

Jalen Carter, Jalyx Hunt, and Nolan Smith have combined for ZERO.

Williams & Sweat got paid and were contributors here. We knew they were solid. And to be fair Ojomo has 3 sacks to MW's 3.5 and while MW has looked very good he's also gotten 3 of his sacks against the Dolphins & Titans.

Vic didn't like Huff. Obviously Saleh gets the most out of him. That is what it is.

The whole offseason was trying to get as much money forward as possible. The team know the deals they likely want to make, and they will come with a big $ commit. A growing cap won't stretch so far.

Its why they are trading for lost cost players like Metchie and Bigsby. Its why they won't trade for a Hendrickson because of the money he wants. Its why draft picks are a core of the FOs strategy. I am interested to see if BG has a funky contract to try and stretch the cap out.

BG’s contract will be week to week

Oh damn, apparently Doug Martin died in police custody after a struggle. He was involved in a break in somehow. This could turn into a thing unfortunately.

Damn those Philly fans!

He's not going to the PS

Milton Williams only cared about money. In at least 2 mic'd up videos in the playoffs, right after making a play he talked about getting PAID. There's no way they were going to pay him, and Carter, and Davis, and all these other guys. Let it go.

The 2022 Super Bowl they started Fletcher Cox and Javon Hargrave. They continue to rotate DTs.

What they really need is a top DE/Edge prospect to put across from Nolan Smith and have Jalyx Hunt and others rotating in.

I'll spoil it for you. It's going to be mostly signing bonus with vet min salary and 4 void years.

You're welcome.

Eagles need depth. They are one injury away in many different positions from being in trouble. Crazy times. Need to shed 5 roster spots at least on the depth chart in the next few weeks for me to have full faith in this defense not tiring out by playoff time and maintaining success.

Which five roster spots?

I can understand. Had Ertz only taken one step it would have been the same situation. However, it was the right call according to the rules.

Big difference. Hockensen wasn’t making a football move, but rather simply going to the ground.

Seattle has a chance to pull a Philly and flyers are apart of it

Seahawks vs. Texans

Mariners vs. blue jays game 7

Kraken vs. flyers

Could lose a football game, hockey game and have their baseball team be eliminated all in the same day

DT too. There's no guarantee Jordan Davis is coming back and even if he does, his play has leveled off a bit. I'm a big Ty Robinson fan, but his rookie year is looking like a redshirt. He can't get on the field even with Byron Young playing like trash. He'll be already be 25 next year...Jordan Davis will be 26 for comparison sake and Moro Ojomo, going in to his 4 year will be just 4 months older.

Jalen Carter, Jodan Davis and Moro Ojomo all need new contracts after next year, if not sooner.

It seems like DT is a constant need but it also seems like they invest in DT every other year.

I'd also like a young, dynamic WR with WR1/2 potential to add to the room.

Don't forget TE

It could involve.some guys getting cut, traded and or going to practice squad.

1) Jackson (cut) 2) Ringo (trade bait) 3) Young (PS) 4) Dotson (trade bait) 5) Dillon (cut)

I'd put Toth there, but I know they have a love affair there....nearing decades. There's a few more like Sydney Brown, Howell, Pryor and Patrick Johnson who don't do much for me but I'll keep if I have to. This squad is perilously thin when you read those names. Nickerson also goes back to PS.

Yeah that’s what I meant. Had Ertz not made that move with the two steps it would have been the same call and it would have felt really bad.

I watched the Jakib post game show and laughed at that moron Sileo and McMullen ranting and raving about how that was a catch by Hockenson. I guess it's not necessary to know the rules if you are going to comment on a sport for a living. You have to maintain full possession throughout the process of hitting the ground or it's not a catch. He was fine with the first part of it as his hands were in the right place in relation to the ball and the ground but once his body turned and he momentarily lost possession after the ball had previously hit the ground that makes it's not a catch. Do I think that should be the rule, maybe not. Either way and by the rule that was definitely not a catch.

Yep and that is the difference. Ertz took two full steps and dove which is a clear football move. Hockenson dove, caught the ball with the ball hitting the ground (which was fine at the time with where his hands were) and then when his body rolled he lost the ball momentarily which makes it not a catch.

We agree again, what's going on around here lol.

Need high picks on the OL

Amen. Any tean playing Brett Toth has problems. He was completely abused by Redmond (#61) all game. Redmond is solid but he is no all-pro. Hate to see Dexter Lawrence lined up in front of him. Toth gets no push and is overpowered. Very difficult to run up the middle with him as an anchor.

I know that was your thinking about rotating people and that Williams was pretty much a JAG. Well, Carter is almost playing 100% snaps yesterday. And lack of depth will kill them eventually. Can see it from a mile away. And how they get run on as the games go along. Young and Robinson are disappointments. And Ojomo doesn't stop the run from the naked eye. And Howie just couldn't time a Williams signing right and misread things. He never ever let's a young homegrown stud go like that.

Williams wasn't a JAG. I liked him a lot. It just wasn't feasible to keep him. They've been promoting snaps for draft picks for years.

Carter, Davis and Ojomo are playing well at DT, we finally have really strong LBs and playmakers in DeJean and Mitchell. They don't have the Edge rushers. Put a top draft prospect DE on that line and watch what happens, plus getting Nolan Smith back healthy.
