I didnt like the axis of rotation on that ball. Slow mo pretty much confirms that. And, 2-3 more revolutions would make it much smoother in flight and easier to catch.

As expected, after the bye for the Packers.

well that sucks. we can use him this week to show down the edge on his side of the field for Skattebo

Mukuba had a bad play along the sidelines that allowed JJ to score too easily. He needed to at least push him back inside. That's learning NFL angles, which are different from NCAA angles.

He also had a nice read on the INT he got.

He also had a nice hit at the goal line that kept the runner out of the end zone.

He made a nice play on the next down too, but the runner got the very tip of the ball over the line for the score. Still a nice effort by him. He's not huge, but he's willing enough.

Growing pains for a rookie. We were spoiled last year with Mitchell and DeJean stepping in looking like vets from their first snap. That's unheard of. And we got two of those guys. Campbell is outstanding in coverage... he's a true outlier, even amongst the outliers. As a rookie in his first half of the season. He's not as good in run fits. That's to be expected, again from a rookie. We have two very promising young rookies to mix in with two outstanding second year players.

Expectations are sky high for Campbell and Mukuba based on what Mitchell and DeJean did last year. We need to slow our roll, and let these guys have some rookie moments without getting the pitch forks. Yesterday was a little over the top about those two.

Don't agree he had a good cover game. The TD to Nailor that was called back for a hold was on Mukuba. The TD/drop to Hockenson was on Mukuba. Those plays don't show up in the stats.

Good

Stats are all that matter, and there is no way they ever lie.

You had me in the first part. Wouldn't say he's overrated. More like overhyped. I do think people are delusional in thinking he's going to fix the problems. Most likely plays a game or 2 and gets injured and sours that great last impression

I may be in the minority here but I am not thrilled about BG coming back. Hes arguably one of the most overrated eagles players ever. 15 years, 1 year of double digit sacks. Washed. Great personality tho

Have to co-sign both. First of all, he...without question...has the highest ratio of hype/admiration to productivity out of any athlete in the history of Philadelphia sports. One pro bowl in what was, frankly, more of a career personality nod than a true top 2-3 edge in the conference situation. In his 15 years, he played across from multiple edges who played (albeit far more briefly) at a higher, more disruptive level than himself. His personality and longevity are remarkable though.

He is very strong and his effort is unrelenting...but I think everyone is in for a rude awakening to see just how empty that tank is.

That was definitely a catch. Surprised they didn’t challenge the spot but I think he had the first down regardless.

Interesting individual thing to note about the SB hangover...

Hurts, Devonta Smith (both thanks to Sunday), Cooper Dejean are having fringe pro-bowl years. No one else on the team is even in the conversation. The eye test says he's playing well, but with the run defense being what it is and not being associated with any turnovers, I'm not sure Baun is there right now.

For all the crap the coaches get, to have this team at 5-2 amidst a SB hangover when every individual on the team is having a worse season than last year...it's quite impressive.

I tend to agree. Then add the amount of injuries (especially on the offensive line) that they’ve been dealing with - 5-2 isn’t bad.

If the Lions can hold on here, it will be a log jam of teams in the NFC that have 5-2 record. Plus it would put us ahead of Tampa due to tiebreaker. 9ers would be the #1 seed based on Conference record. Eagles would be #2.

Would love to see him return without or at least eventually shed that giant club brace on his arm. That's not helping an edge rusher who is so dependent on 4.3 speed.

49ers schedule is just too easy unfortunately. That team doesn't scare me (this year, they have in the past), but they will be far easier to beat on the scoreboard in the playoffs than they will in the W/L column this regular season.

The Jets have surpassed the Browns as the most soul sucking franchise in the NFL. And the Browns really haven't done much to relinquish that position. The Jets just out-competed them on this one.

Baker should learn how to throw from Hurts.

Probably already discussed bjt seattle has the opportunity become the only other city to have their NHL team lose, NFL team lose, and MLB be eliminated from the playoffs in the same day (if the Mariners blow this lead)

Let’s trade for all Detroit backup secondary

He just needs to learn how to hack the stats

Kelvin Sheppard is calling a hell of a game. Only giving up 9 pts with the number of injuries in the secondary is crazy work.
