Remember when the team sucked for decades, then had great teams in the 90s that never won a playoff game, then Reid/McNabb era brought winning but never a championship?

Now we're coming off our 2nd Super Bowl win in 7 years with different coaching and mostly different players, leading the division at 5-2 and arguing about which of our problems ranks higher than the other.

Good times.

shut it.

He didn’t say any mean words.

Ringo is getting beat deep. PI calls count as the same thing. But yes, I agree, pass rush will help our secondary tremendously

These are all of the long TD's against the Eagles this season. Ringo wasn't involved in any of them.

NFL currently has 13 teams with 1 or 2 losses through 7 weeks. Thats insane

This year above any other, our 5-2 isn’t special. Gotta keep winning

Conversely, almost half of the AFC is booking their vacations. Weird year.

Good times.

This is all true, but that's also the point of the board and blog.

I hate to rain on the parade of Brandon Graham. He's a fan favorite, special personality, and it's ostensibly exciting to see him back.

But here is the reason I am concerned and frustrated about it...this guy was barely the solution to the edge rush situation in his absolute prime. Personality and extracurricular excitement aside, the fact that the midseason addition to the sorely anemic pass rush is a 37 year old double tricep injured player who was never a prolific pass rusher is something that would normally be cause for alarm rather than celebration.

It's a weird year, but things settle back to baseline pretty quickly. Sure enough, the Chiefs are back to #1 odds to win the SB and the Bills will settle right in behind them. The Eagles and Lions will likely settle in at the top of the NFC with the 49ers and Rams in that mix. Commanders proving to be a fluke and the Packers and Bucs will be in there as good playoff teams that can only win 0-1 playoff games, not the cream of the crop.

It's going to be the same old power structure by the end of the year.

Much better result this week. If the Seahawks win tonight I’ll be 11-4 for the week with 89 points. Why do I keep picking the Chargers?? It has to be a sickness. Picking the Dolphins trainwreck to win in Cleveland was easily my worst gaffe of the week, even though the Steelers cost me 12 points.

Frickin’ Rodgers — blaming his own offensive lineman during a celebration for throwing off his mojo for the rest of the game. Guy can’t even get along with his own family, much less his teammates. Surely no one will ask this turd to play again next season.

Dolphins are on a downward spiral

People thought the new HC for Chargers would help. Still possible considering they've won 4

Rodgers has shown highs and lows but his attitude is just horrible

It really is a shame. Broke mentality and played hero ball.

Prime Wentz would put up 5k yds and 50+TDs with the 2024 team

I agree. Going back for BG whilst is an emotional decision that will probably benefit both parties, its basically an admission of guilt by howie and the coaching staff that they've messed up and don't have enough at that position.

Failure to draft/sign a proven edge whilst losing BG and sweat, huff, reddick is a definite mistake,

I think he his primary role will be to set the edge on running plays. We have been getting torched on the edges. He was always a very good run defender.

Interesting BG notes. He wanted to come back but they didn't want him to orginally. Then they wanted him to come back before Z. Smith and he didn't want to. Now they both want to

Yeah, like a handful of snaps in run situations plus some great vibes - for as long as he lasts.

While I thought we had the QB answer with Wentz the truth is there was no prime Wentz, there was flash in the pan Wentz. It was a tremendous flash, but that's all it was. Honestly, for all we know, he may have crumbled under the playoff pressure. He certainly has never shown he can handle pressure nor adversity.

Wentz was on fire that year. But I'm not sure he'd have been able to go toe to toe with Brady the way Foles did in that SB.

i don't know, it seems that wentz still keeps helping the eagles to win, even now.

A busted play, miscommunication by the S’s and a blatant OPI.

Ringo’s issues are death by 1000 cuts though. He’s doing all the small things wrong.

Nolan will have been out for almost half a season so he more or less counts as an addition as well at this point. I’m thinking Howie wants to use the little capital he has left on a CB or iOL. Hope it works out though it is less than ideal no matter how Howie plays it now.

We made him generationally wealthy. He owes us.

Agree to disagree

BG was having a phenomenal game at LA last season before he tore his triceps.

Our edge rushers suck. He’s only a slight upgrade but an upgrade is an upgrade.

Maybe he won’t be an upgrade at all but who cares. He’s taking snaps from players who are proven to be jags.

Can’t definitively say he wouldn’t have, but what Foles did in that SB i don’t think any other QB in history and probably the future can ever replicate. That game was basically perfection. Putting that game in a vacuum and looking at every throw and replacing one for the other there’s at least 4 that I’m not sure Foles could even ever had replicated again. Wentz would have provided a different dynamic for the Pats to counter though.
