If you think someone is a "POS" for posting non malicious innocuous stuff on social media, then maybe you're the problem, not him. The players voted him captain because they like him. That should suggest something.

The simple solution is to get offline, touch grass, and stop caring about stupid BS. Players get asked a thousand questions everyday from reporters, if you think Jalen Hurts cares if he was asked a question "Hey, what did you think of AJ Brown's social media post?" then you've been absorbed way too deep in Too Online Outrage-ism.

Congrats on making by far and away the worst post of the week. "POS" is a bit harsh but he is most definitely becoming a massive distraction and problem and if you think it isn't annoying and an additional challenge the QB has to deal with that he shouldn't have to deal with it I don't know what to tell you. Hurts just had a perfect passer rating and one of his best games as an Eagle and the team snapped a two game losing streak. Meanwhile his star WR is posting passive aggressive BS on social media yet again after that big win and he has to spend time answering questions about it, but hey that's just nothing. Try using some common sense and stop glazing AJ.

Can we put to bed the idea that this is Embiid's team now?

You see it, I see it. Everybody sees it.

Except Stoutland.

And he has forgotten more about OL than you or I will know in our lifetimes. But I just can't figure out why he has such a soft spot for him to keep on persisting with him over so many years....

Toth couldn't stick on Carolina's roster in 2023, and that was a line that gave up 65 sacks, they stunk, yet they'd seen enough and didn't even keep Toth as back up after watching him in 3 games, but we keep bringing him back year on year. For the life of me I don't know how he's ahead of Pryor as a guard.

When a person is self aware enough to understand that his actions are negatively affecting his team, peers, and supposed friends. (And I think AJ is)

Yet he intentionally continues doing these things and tearing down something that everyone else is working in good faith to build, then he is, in fact, a POS.

And typically the people who defend such things are also POS. Or idiots. Usually both.

What could it be? It’s a mirage. You’re scheming on a thing…

AJ said before that he just posts stuff online. I think fans and the media make a bigger deal out of it and so the team has to then make a statement or respond to it

Calling AJ a POS is crazy lol

You see Hines Ward as a HoF WR? I just don't see it. He accumulated some really nice stats due to his longevity, but for me, the passing game of today makes the aggregate stats thing almost impossible to build a case upon.

I wouldn't put Ward in the top 5 WRs during his era, and for me, that's where we need to look for the Hall. Far too many really good players are getting in, rather than the Hall being about truly the best of the best.

I just looked it up and he was 2nd team All-Pro 3 times, and Pro Bowler 4 times. That's actually better than I thought he would have been. That raises him a little bit for me, but still doesn't quite get there for me. For me, Reggie Wayne is higher than Hines Ward for me, but I'm not sure Wayne should get in either. Steve Smith definitely should NOT, IMO, but that might just be me not separating his play from his personality.

The cynic in me says Ward gets in quickly because he's a Steeler; always a Steeler premium that for whatever, gets player in quickly.

Not to say Ward wasn't good, but bit like Eli Manning better players are more deserving to go in quickly.

Toth has been a Stoutland project since 2019. He's coachable and very intelligent. He has been trained to play every position on the line. Toth's G snaps this season have all been at LG where Pryor's G snaps were at RG. That is likely playing a part in the decision process. We just signed Opeta to the PS and if he gets integrated back in, Stoutland might prefer him as the backup at the interior OL positions.

Why do you think Hurts is so soft and lacks leadership? If an Instagram post is going to de-rail him he's mentally weaker than Wentz.

Perhaps Stoutland sees him as a Steven Means player. Marginal NFL player, but good in practice and the meeting rooms. Seems a good dude, so don't want to rag on him, but if he's not got drastically better in 6 years, not sure I want him starting on a SB calibre team.

You've had the worst takes of AJ of anyone on this board. Talking nonsense saying you want him(best WR in Eagles history) out of here or he needs to go because a few social media posts online, none of which are malicious. Just terrible juvenile takes. For one, grow up. Two, you're projecting. You're just making up that this is a massive distraction. No one on the Eagles have ever indicated such. AJ has been a goofball since the Eagles got him and they've been to two Super Bowls and have won as much as any team in the NFL over the last 3 years. You're making a way bigger deal about it than it is because you(and others) have started this narrative that you yourselves are perpetuating.

The dude could make a post online today of a photo of a rainbow and you and others would freak out about it. He's done nothing wrong. These are grown men and he's allowed to make posts on his own social media accounts that aren't mean or vulgar in nature. No one has been able to provide any evidence that the Eagles are fed up with AJ or his harmless posts and the responses are always the same. "Dude if you don't think they aren't fed up with it, I don't know what to tell you." If you can't provide anything tangible then you've got nothing. Not a single player coming forward criticizing AJ. Not a coach criticizing AJ. He's voted team captain every year. Players and coaches talk glowingly of him. I can provide evidence the team loves him. So the facts and reality are on my side on this one, little breh.

the Process’ final nail was firing Hinkie…everything after is just tragedy and gross incompetence.

You mean like drafting Ben Simmons and trading up to draft Markelle Fultz... trading for Tobias Harris, trading for James Hardin, etc.

So many just horrific decisions.

Steeler?

Dirty player?

Overrated by the fanbase and media?

Mentioned it last night, if Bettis goes anywhere after STL besides Pitt his 3.9 YPC career avg doesn’t sniff the HoF.

Simmons was a no brainer IMO, outside of Brown most of the ‘stars’ in that draft took years to develop. At least we got close to 2 good seasons out of Simmons. After this last ‘lottery’, it’s pretty sad how much they got screwed during the actual process too, the whole thing is just so fake and rigged.

If AJ was just posting random stuff on there and didn't have any ulterior motive behind it, he'd have stopped long ago when he saw how much rancor comes from these innocuous posts.

But, since he hasn't stopped these posts, we can conclude that there is an ulterior motive and he wants the rancor that it generates. IMO, that doesn't make him a POS, but it certainly raises an eyebrow from me and makes me question where his priorities really are. His post-Super Bowl comments really gave us a window into his mindset. Winning isn't his ultimate goal, for him to personally dominate the player opposite him is. That's fine, but that's not the culture of this team. He would likely be much happier elsewhere putting up big numbers and not worrying about the scoreboard. He seems to put a lot more of his attention on the stats page than he does the scoreboard.

Getting the ring helps a lot. It really shouldn't carry the weight that it does, and not getting the ring shouldn't be held against players the way it is. Championships are team accolades, but the Hall is all about the individual.

Well personal stats determine contact, pro bowl, all pro, hall of fame, etc.

Team stats and getting rings are nice but you can be on the team but not play in the SB and still get the accolades

So it’s understand that a player cares about their stats

The way I see it the thing isn’t finished until Embiid is gone.

As long as the stats are 2nd in priority then all good.

I understand a player who cares about his stats. I just don't think he needs to make everything public. JMO.

Or maybe fans and media need to care less about what a player randomly posts on social media?
