Well Dalls does suck.

And that's why I never give NBA players my cell number.

What about wnba players? I bet on angel Reese to always miss her first shot. However i dont think she misses it purposefully

Then bring him back if that happens.

I’m guessing they probably would if the price was decent. I like steen more than most but i also don’t think he’s getting an extension after his contract is up next year

The coaches make the offense way more difficult for having him do that. Who else in the NFL does this? What other Eagles in 13 years of Stout U did this?

I agree with you - the only upside I see is a) you get really good at the silent count in all conditions b) you build the tendency to sucker punch the defense at the opportune time.

Bad look for Wentz.

I think this is silly. He went into the game hurt. He's got some kind of bionic arm keeping his shoulder attached and he was getting pounded all game.

I guess its a good thing that we never heard any news after Jergens' MRI. And that he hasnt been put on IR. So, Im not too concerned about when he will be back. Would seem to be a short term problem. At this point, may as well keep him out till after the bye.

He hasn't even been AT practice, so he surely is going to be out this week

Becton last year was better than Steen is this year, significantly so. Our line last year was objectively better than this year's line, at any point.

Steen has been better than Becton this year is my point.

The line has underachieved because Dickerson, Jurgens and Mailata have all dropped off significantly, and we keep putting Toth out there for some reason.

I think there's about zero chance they extend Steen, as they can't/won't want another high priced OL. Maybe if he really improves and it coincides with Lane retiring...but the dead money from Lane when he retires will hit a couple years of the cap. Gotta think they will want someone on a rookie deal or a cheap deal. Becton's contract with LA is pretty much a one year deal -- $5mm signing bonus, $10mm cash this year. They can cut him after the year and save $7.5mm on the 2026 cap ($2.5mm dead money from the signing bonus because no void years, avoid $10mm in unguaranteed salary and roster bonuses). If he keep playing this poorly, I bet we can get him for a similar deal as 2024 -- 1 year, ~$3mm. Maybe $4mm.

Which was pretty safe to assume when they said he needed an MRI anyway.

Especially with the bye week next week, there's no reason to risk it.

Now, that doesn't mean playing Toth at center is a good idea...

Yep. That’s kind of what my thinking is. I’m pretty sure Becton unless he turns this around is getting released. I think he’d want to return here because he had his best year of his career here and I think there’d be mutual interest. Curious if some other team will offer him a starting spot whereas here he’d be competing with steen. Unless eagles try to trade steen going into his last year. Although less likely as he’s cheap and if he leaves as a FA and signs a decent contract they could get a solid comp pick

Id volunteer @just relax to play over Toth for a game or 2 until Jergens returns after the bye.

Toth on the team Isn’t a good idea lol.

Part of me wonders if Toth stinks at center that Dickerson moves to center and opeta gets called up from PS and plays G.

I am Facebook friends with one former WNBA player but that's as close as I get.

He’s got an awesome wife

Was this because they let Skattebo be their independent neurologist?

I agree. It is silly. I don't think it was that bad. Typical network drama bs .

And he hasn't been very good when he's on the field. People cry about Steen and losing Becton -- Steen has been objectively better. People cry about Ojomo and losing Milt -- Ojomo in 2025 is better than Milt in 2024 despite Carter being worse.

People just like to complain.

Why not just try Kendall at center?

He cant be worse than toth.

I had no idea Opeta was evn in the PS.

Hes miles better thn Toth at guard, still cant figure out why Toth is even on the roster the guy is useless

They see Kendall at practice so I have to go by that as the reason why. But I felt Kendall was likely ready to play at a competent level as a rookie when he got drafted. Imo I thought he fell to where he did in the draft based off of he strictly a center and he had a lower ceiling than you would like.

Steen is not better than Becton this year. And Ojomo is not better than Milt Williams. That's pretty obvious at this point. Though both have played okay as replacements. Those are 2 big losses for both sides of the ball. In addition, there's a Domino Effect as well with those losses on both lines regarding depth. Bad depth behind Steen & Ojomo.

I think it's a competition between Steen and Becton, with the loser being the top backup both at guard and tackle.

I would think that too. But my question is more if somebody offered Becton the same amount of money, but the promise is gonna start, would he choose the Eagles over that team? I kind of think he would choose the place where he could still go out and start. That said I’m not sure there’s gonna be a team that gives him that promise.
