11 hours ago11 hr Where is Dylan McMahon these days? Maybe we were wrong on him, but it sucked to see him get snatched up. And then, he was available after roster cuts this year. Is he on someones 53 currently? Wonder if he can play like we thought he could?

Though both have played okay as replacements. Those are 2 big losses for both sides of the ball. In addition, there's a Domino Effect as well with Those losses on both lines regarding depth. Bad depth behind Steen & Ojomo.2025 Steen is playing better than 2025 Becton -- this is an undisputed fact. 2025 Steen is better in pass protection than 2024 Becton, but worse as a run blocker than 2024 Becton. 2025 Ojomo is better than 2024 Milton -- another fact. Milt has been better in NE this year than he was in Philly last year during the regular season. Now add in that Steen is 85% cheaper than Becton, and Ojomo is over 90% cheaper than Milt, and the ROIC difference in enormous. You're entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

But my question is more if somebody offered Becton the same amount of money, but the promise is gonna start, would he choose the Eagles over that team? I kind of think he would choose the place where he could still go out and start. That said I’m not sure there’s gonna be a team that gives him that promise. If his play doesn't improve, I'm guessing people look at him as a one year wonder in 2024 thanks to Stout and playing with 4 pro bowl/all pro line mates. I'd be surprised if someone signed him to a guaranteed starting spot if he's been objectively bad for 5 of his 6 years.

But I felt Kendall was likely ready to play at a competent level as a rookie when he got drafted. Imo I thought he fell to where he did in the draft based off of he strictly a center and he had a lower ceiling than you would like.Well they and we all see toth in game and not sure what the coaches are seeing that everybody else isnt, that dude blows.Like I said kendall cant be worse right? If hes strictly a center and the starting center is down then why not play the guy thats a center rather than the guy thats not anything

If they both suck, move Landon to center and play Pryor at LG. Unless Landon's injuries mean he can't play center. Then...well, we're stuck.

11 hours ago11 hr Whether or not Steen is better than Becton, hard to say this early, but even if you prefer Becton, it's not a blowout. I maintain there is no excuse for the OL to have played as badly as it has this season. And no, injuries are not a valid excuse. Lots of teams have banged up OL, they find ways to get some semblance of a running game. The fact that the Eagles have Barkley and cannot get anything going in any game on the ground is a major indictment on Stoutland this season. He's gotta coach those boys up.

11 hours ago11 hr What's wild is I feel like our line has been potentially better in 2025 than 2024 in pass protection, but SIGNIFICANTLY worse in run blocking. Feels like Dickerson, Mailata and Jurgens have all taken a massive step back in run blocking, and Steen just isn't the road grader that Becton was. Argues even more for emphasizing the pass.
11 hours ago11 hr To add on to the above on the run blocking, it also feels like everyone is copying Spags' blueprint from the Super Bowl of having guys attack the gap created by the pulling lineman and getting into the backfield. Patullo hasn't really adjusted to that at all.

I just don't get the fascination with Toth. I'd hope Pryor would be fine at RG as he played well there last year.
11 hours ago11 hr A epic rant, which is mostly true. But coming from a lions fan where that franchise has done very little in the last 60 years, except choke away in NFC title game, divisional game and go 0-16 is probably not the franchise to say it.

Lee and whoever else were always wrecking our game. A few other teams with elite quickness at LB were able to do it to us too. I dont really think its anything all that new. There was a good video that Ill never find again when we hired Kellen Moore that showed his bread and butter run plays. One was the inside zone, and there was another staple play design that was his counter to that. Zone run schemes have been around quite a while. There are definitely things to do to hurt teams who want to slash in like that. I find it hard to blame Patullo, when we know Stoutland knows the answer- and is the run game coordinator. And we know this running scheme works. It seems to be an execution issue where our guys just arent mobile enough this year for various reasons.

Yes, he has played more snaps due to the absences of Carter. But if you normalize for the difference in snaps, his stats are still either similar or better. Not sure how you define "obvious".

He can step in and offer corrections or new approaches at any time. He's the captain of the ship. And he hand picked Patullo to begin with.
