All the credit in the world to Sirianni for being able to keep so many of them quiet and motivated.I mean I think the better solution would be to run a more functional and creative offense, but point taken. It's like if you're a parent and have kids and you feed them chicken and rice every night for over a year and eventually they are annoyed and dreading dinner everyday. Keeping them quiet and content is good work, but maybe cook pasta, steak, or order a pizza every once in a while is the easier solution to keep em happy.

But, he found a way to win a super bowl despite that. So all the credit in the world to Siri, and Howie for making that work too.
12 hours ago12 hr I firmly believe that Sirianni will be known as one of the greatest HCs ever to do it.He is either going to win a bunch of super bowls here with Hurts and Howie, and possibly another QB in the post-Hurts era whenever that comes. Or, he is going to end up somewhere else with a different QB who actually allows Siri to show everyone what the true "Sirianni offense" actually is- which will be nothing even close to what we are doing in Philly. And then, with his own actually functional offense, and his incredible team/culture building strength, he will win multiple bowls elsewhere.

Stout is a really good coach, but he becomes a great coach when he is given real talent to mold rather than borderline backups/practice squad talent.4 out of the 5 linemen were set going into this season with big contracts. The line from left to right draft pick rounds: 7th rd rugby project - 2nd - 2nd - 3rd - 1stThey've had much bigger needs in the draft than backup linemen to use high picks. They've been able to build a young defense with star players on rookie contracts. When you have star players on a strong O line as starters, you can't draft 1st and 2nd round picks on backups. I mean they did that with Dickerson and Jurgens and now they're starters, but they've had to use high picks for defense. They will need to shift to high O line picks again to replace Lane Johnson and get a rookie contract, and maybe the same for RG to replace Steen when the time comes. And it won't be long before it's time to replace Mailata, rinse and repeat. Currently though, you can't expect high picks on O line the last couple years.

We haven't seen them run anything else, so how would we know? Your implication is obviously Jalen Hurts can't run another offense, but what specifically about some other wrinkles is he unable to run? If he's capable of scheming other stuff, then do it, and let the players sink or swim.

Yes, he has played more snaps due to the absences of Carter. But if you normalize for the difference in snaps, his stats are still either similar or better. Not sure how you define "obvious".Obvious....in that the defensive line play with Carter/Williams tandem is absolutely lethal in the middle to the entire line. I am an eye test person. Stats can be skewed in so many directions for an argument, just like peeps do in here with Hurts. What I know, is the defensive pass rush is better with Carter/Williams than with Carter/Ojomo. That's my football trained eye saying that. We can talk about injuries etc. Revisit at end of year I suppose.

He was hired to come here for what he had done there. Not for these basic Madden level designs that we run today.Everything he has done here to adapt to Hurts is a credit to Siri. Ugly as it may be, he found a way to make Hurts have success in the NFL- albeit, bolstered an an all world offensive roster around him, and a #1 defense in their super bowl year. Still found a way.

I don't think the status quo is going to have another 4 years as successful as the previous 4. They're going to have to change eventually. If they're capable. I think if this season goes south they're going to have to or there's going to be a mutiny. It's easy to keep guys quiet when you're winning.

Well one of the last plays. That last play may have been when he hurt it. He falls kinda awkwardly, gets up a little slow and doesn't celebrate. Maybe that's why he had that expression at the end of the game.

11 hours ago11 hr They should be able to beat the Giants with those guys missing, but if not, I gotta admit, feels a little arrogant rolling into Sunday as thin as they are at some positions. Doesn't feel like they're taking this game very seriously, from Toth starting at center instead of Kendall, all the way down. At least that's how I view it, even though for some of them I get giving extra rest with the bye, but this feels to me like a situation where all these guys except maybe Jurgens would play if it was the playoffs, so then you better win if you're treating it like a second rate game.Luckily for them Dart stinks. If they lose to that bum again, pack up the season, and they better sit tight at the deadline and don't give away picks they'll be needing in April.
11 hours ago11 hr So it's Toth at center, Dotson at WR2 and Hunt/Uche/Johnson/Campbell at edge...guess APR gets elevated. And Carter/Ojomo play some edge.Really trying to squeak one out before the bye it seems.EDIT: Dear God...Ringo is starting.
