I’m not saying they are trying to trade him but it’s almost like they are passively shopping him and avoiding the blowback of actively shopping him.

Interesting take. Maybe. I don't get why things have gotten to this point, though. He got paid, he has possibly the best culture in the NFL, great owner, and they are winning. I get Hurts isn't a great passing QB but he could have a lot worse. Ask Jefferson. I also know there are mental issues in play as well, but still. There aren't any better situations in the NFL past the Chiefs.

I don’t get it either. I could be way off, but with the deadline around the corner and the constant "we aren’t interested in trading him" followed by "we’re going to do what’s best for the team” and then all the "he’s not that injured” reports it just seems like the team is saying hey offer us a blockbuster trade and it might happen. But if and when it likely doesn’t happen they don’t have blood on their hands.

Toth will get exposed today with a minimum of 2 penalties and getting backed up into Jalen's mug. Hurts is already preparing for that and will try to overcome most of that deficiency. Like to see the rook Kendall get some snaps. And Toth absolutely has dirty pictures of a high ranked Eagles official. This is what you call the best roster in the NFL? Think not.

I think this is part of it. I think he also wants to accolade that guy like Ja’Marr Chase and those guys get as they are focal points of the offense and tend to be consistent with numbers year to year.

I’ve also said this in the past, money is always a factor even if you just got paid. You’re always looking at your next payday. AJ Brown based off what I’ve seen has about $4 million in guaranteed money in 2027. Meaning he needs a new deal after 2026. And probably would’ve heard about it after this year. So I think part of this is he’s looking at his next contract negotiations. They’re going to use against him that he’s 30 (some durability issues with titans and us) and the fact that he’s had declining numbers each of the last three seasons. Probably thinks it’s gonna hurt his last big payday (30 at that position it’s probably his last big payday). Imo think money is somehow a factor in this.

That’s why I don’t think a trade is likely. But at some point in time he’s gonna need a new contract or he’s just gonna walk and you’re gonna get nothing for him. At the end of 2026 he has only $4 million guaranteed on that contract he has. So you’re either gonna have to extend him or he is gone
