Then that would invalidate the argument for the push being banned because then it would be about the formation not the push. Also essentially they’d be banning QB sneaks because all QB sneaks use that bunched up formation. I have no idea how they’d regulate that.

I think what’s coming is some team is gonna put a proposal out there saying you can run a quarterback sneak but you can’t have a player to right next to him on the left and right has to be behind him. I’m guessing that team will say it makes it hard for the officials to judge where the ball carrier is and where the ball is.

I think what’s good to happen is if they’re gonna ban the tush push first. And then once they have that go after the formation.

There is no debating Dean has played the run better. Im not sure that its physicality, or just the instincts at this point. Instincts were the one knock on Campbell from an actual football perspective, outside of the injury he had.

Id say instincts, not that dean isnt physical cuz he is but his instincts are next level.

Campbell is pretty good in coverage but he has his share of bad snaps in coverage, like getting beat by Skataboo for a TD.

Having said that Dean was also held on that play, blitzed through the A gap and the guard tackled him and refs swallowed their whistles.

Dean is really good blitzer through the A gap, and Campbell has just been ok there

On another note, I want more reinforcements from Howie and not overly feel himself too much with the trade deadline. This is not a Superbowl defense right now. That is the primary reason we won last year. Lions, Bills, Chiefs ( with Rice now) and Colts could make Eagles defense seem pretty ordinary IMO, as currently constructed. I am talking about repeating as Superbowl champions in all of my perspectives and opinions. They are a very beatable football team and flawed. Howie should be adding 2-3 pieces here to feel at all comfortable.
