I thought it was a very good performance today by both the offense and defense.

Best run blocking and running game we’ve seen all season. (Saquon is back!) And Tank Bigsby showed that he can play. Hurts was super solid as usual with 4TD passes. Smitty solid as usual. Dotson with the over the top Moss TD catch. And congrats to Dallas Goedert with another 2 TD catches on TE day.

The D-Line came to play and got to the QB all day - tons of sacks and pressures. Secondary was solid.

Great win - off to the bye week to rest and heal up.

Go Birds! 🦅

Too be fair I think it’s the helmet that makes them look worse. The jersey by itself I think is actually pretty sick.

Well, you’re not alone unfortunately… they say like 5% of people are psychos so it tracks.

Bum Steelers defense

Kevin Curtis did well - you have chosen… poorly.

Westbrook had 4 total tds That day and yes kevin curtis had a career day and If I remember Mcnabb ended with a perfect passer rating

The hate this board and fans give to curtis is unreal.

Dude goes out gets 1100 yards and eagles fans call him a bum.

Next year he struggles with injuries has an ok season goes to NFCcg where he gets blamed for the loss on a throw where he was interfered with and the Defense crapped the bed.

I liked curtis, im partial as I saw him play for 4 seasons at Ut state and kill byu every year but he was a good WR before he got testicular cancer and that was it ..☹️

I thought this was an interesting game for the Eagles.

I don’t want to take anything away from Hurts or the defense. On paper, they were both excellent. In watching, I think they were both something less than that, but still a good game. But this isn’t about them.

It’s about the running game. This was a throw back to 2024. The running game was so dominant that it made all other aspects of the game…the passing game, the defense, the Giants’ efforts to in the game in their various phases of the game…just feel irrelevant as they neatly fell into place in a highly choreographed and never-in-doubt sequence.

The way the Eagles ran the ball just dictated every aspect of the game. Ball control, limited offensive opportunities for the Giants, rested defense, pressure off a passing game that was permitted to be low volume, efficient, and opportunistic, and, finally, sustained ball control in the 4th that removed all drama from the game regardless of what the defense was going to do.

Goedert has already set his career high for TDs with 7 so far. Only took him 8 games to do so. He’s a serious weapon in the red zone. That would have been a disaster letting him walk after last season.

It was a crime to forget he existed for the past few years on offense. Credit to Patullo for making him a focal point, at least in the red zone this year.

I want to clarify that Hurts played well aside from his idiotic decisions to not throw the ball away several times. I just hate when people dismiss god awful plays/games because "oh well we won" or "we got the first down anyway".

How many times have we seen a second and long run actually lose yards? What about the 3rd and ling cowards draws? What happened after that sack is almost literally the 1% of outcomes in that scenario, so to just poo-poo Hurts taking a 20 YARD SACK is ridiculous.

Maybe Hurts just should have gone down but if you think you saw a spot where Hurts could plant, throw, and not get a fumble or a batted pick or grounding on that play, I'd love to know where.

He does not have a report ahead of time about where the OL got beat so he could know that he can't escape pressure.

He's been amazing throwing while escaping pressure the last few weeks.

Your problem is expecting perfection in a sport that is not about perfection, Its about winning.

Hurts is the worst QB in the league this year, except for all the other ones.

Maye has good stats vs a garbage easy schedule.

Goff was horrible in week 1 and nowhere near good enough vs KC.

Let me know who these perfect QBs who Hurts should use as role models are.

I don't really care about the cost. Rather have a dominant line with Carter, Williams, Davis & Ojomo. MW plays everywhere and is a monster. Ojomo plays one position. Was Howie worried about the cost in adding Parsons? You're telling me the line is just as good this year? I like Ojomo, but he won't be here in 2 years. We will see about JD. Then what?? Carter playing too many snaps and hurt. I rather have MW/Carter as my core going forward. Almost 4th round compensatory pick which we get for MW helps us in how many years? Offensive line was getting paid and would be shifting to Dline getting paid. Besides, Howie had a year to sign him for much cheaper than eventual contract. I'm not gonna pat Howie on the back for MW decision. One injury there and we are done!

Milton Williams is awesome. He’s gotten better every year he’s been in the NFL and is a legit (whether he’s on the team or not) pro-bowl player.

But retaining him just wasn’t sensible. While Williams has the specs for it and did it quite well in running situations, he’s not an edge. His best play comes from the inside. And he is better than Ojomo…but with Carter/Davis/Ojomo in the fold, that contract for Milton Williams would have been ridiculous.

They did the necessary thing in letting him walk.

Half of the defense walked. Just a very risky deal. Would have been okay with a couple of them staying. To sign only Baun is kinda crazy. Off of a Superbowl quality defense.

and in two years...your point is moot as we will have a large group of young defenders all locked up for years...we will be reloading not rebuilding. Howie is playing the long game...I like Howie see a chance to keep the championship window open for years. You seem to want to toss that all away with overreaches this year...I am seeing progress as this defense learns with each other.

You guys dont pay attention. Ive said pretty positive things about Hurts' game today.

On the flip side of that token, Im the only one who has been attacked and called a r-word today, while I have done none of the same. So its pretty clear at least to me, who the trolls are.

Steelers defense should not be this bad.

It's all projection with these young guys. I'm only certain about Dejean, Quinyon and Carter. I'm not gonna count Campbell and Makuba. Nolan could be year to year with his health. So MW couldn't be signed with those 3 locked up? They are not signing at the same exact time. It's staggered. In the interim, we are suffering with a young defense that lacks depth and is not Superbowl quality. Ranked middle of the pack currently.

Gimme a second. So let's say Carter signs for 35-40M. You don't think MW is worth 2/3 of that?

No i don’t. I think Milton Williams got the contract he did because he came off a really good Super Bowl and in 2024. I also think because he got to free agency he got the contract he did and free agency you always get overpaid. I don’t believe Milton Williams gets 2/3s of what Carter is going to get if he was signed prior to the 2024 season. If you asked Howie, I think he would admit that was his biggest regret was not getting his deal done in the 2024 offseason.

It’s not just about paying Milton Williams whatever fraction they are paying Carter. it’s about paying dejean, Carter, smith and Mitchell. Cannot give Milton Williams what he got in free agency and sign all those guys. Plus still need to sign Blankenship. When they didn’t sign him in the off-season of 2024, then he went out and did what he did. There was no way he was coming back. Cause they can’t afford to pay that many guys. Imo I don’t think Jordan Davis is gonna be here after 2026 unless they get him on a team friendly contract. I think they’re gonna have to draft a defensive tackle relatively high.

What are you talking about? You are not even mentioning Carter and Davis. Hate to break it to you but the Eagles are going to be challenged to keep their cost to 70 mil per year combined. (The high end going rate for high quality DT is 40 mil...pay attention)

Blankenship and Nolan are not guarantees here at all for me. But will see. Too much projection there. I'm thinking about 2peats and 3 peats.

Milton got overpaid because the Pats had a ridiculous amount of cap money and didn't care about being judicious.

You are also forgetting they gave baun significant money too. So he’s included in this. It’s baun, Carter, Mitchell, dejean, Blankenship and Nolan smith. Then add on everything on offense and giving Barkley more money too.

Speaking of 2013 Foles...

Kind of what I was alluding to that he got to free agency and somebody was always good to overpay. Because New England had the money they were gonna overpay him because they had a need and they liked him. Besides he played well particularly in the Super Bowl

I mentioned Carter. Why does everyone assume Davis and then cancel out MW. Last year JD wasn't much and a question mark coming in. I'm not sure what to feel about him. Still?

Milton Williams was getting about 19-20m from that other team until NE went nuts and raised it to 24m.

No he is not worth that to this team.

Yes, he has been good for New England.

Again.  Blankenship, Nolan and JD are TBD and would be case by case. That's just me.
