I think he skips it so he can lord it over Jerry and say want 16 more Ls ass kickings or do you want to win?

This dudes really going through it lol

He's still being paid way more than he should. So, he's got that going for him... which is nice.

Their QB is also not very good.

What we think doesn't matter, its what their front office thinks. Most of the leagues fans say the same about our guy lmao

Dumb teams do dumb things. Out of that list, only Adams was on par talent wise. He was that guy in NY…the Jets just sucked and injuries really mounted after his first year in Seattle.

Eagles could not afford him. Very expensive salary and trade capital. I would rather Eagles save money to resign their own players, or take a shot on a potential young talent then eliminate their options by locking in Parsons.

I didn't say we could lmao. I said GB could, and possibly stand losing those picks better than most teams can. My reply had zero to do with us

Yikes

Eagles not only aren’t facing Parsons (would’ve been limited if anything) but now also facing a team with as low morale as possible and a huge distraction. If this isn’t a 3 score game then shame on us.

Meanwhile, the Packers might have become a bit more of a problem.

47 million a year for a pass rusher. Pass bro.

If you told me the cowboys would get Pickens but lose Parsons in the offseason I would say yes please

Gonna be 40 for a DT

He was a KR for Michigan years ago. A really smooth athlete, but smaller

I can't help but wonder if the Cowboys are both sick of Parsons act and have reached the point where Jones Senior is starting to realise this version of the team is done, and paying Parsons doesn't fit with that thought

That would be something I for one never considered. Spending that kind of resources on one player may not make sense when many positions may need an upgrade, no matter how good he is.

Don't know man...pre season games are always tricky...

On paper for sure, they’re a very young team but have a giant ? at the most important position. They’re stuck with Love for a few more years, so i guess the splash makes sense. It’s very ‘un-Packer’ like though. They hardly ever take stabs even in the FA (unless it’s White or Woodson).

Jerry’s deserves zero benefit of the doubt that he would think rationally. The past 2 years especially have proven that.

Then get a bidding war going for him because the haul back is just meh

I was just looking at it. Jones at 31 with 60 guaranteed and the next highest is 26 with 51 guaranteed with Milton Williams

I don't know who is up for a contract before Carter but Carter actually played better than Jones in 2024 with Carter being held so damn much

Howie has a habit of getting contracts done before the market sets so we should save some but it's still going to be lining up the brink trucks for Carter

I feel like I like this deal for the Cowboys better than most.
