So the Eagles facing Green Bay and Detroit is tough but Green Bay facing Detroit and Philly is easy?

The Raiders suck.

Dallas sucks.

DC x2 sucks.

The Bears are a 7-8 win team.

Buffalo has no D and Allen has been all over the place while facing an easy schedule.

Is the Eagles game an easy one for Buffalo?

The Chargers will be a home away game with Eagles fans dominating and the Chargers 'aint it.

Today was a good start, but the Giants had a ton of injuries, so going through their schedule like an Eagles fan assuming they are fully back isn't necessarily reality either.

Raiders suck, but I don't expect any of the other games to be locks. The Lions and Packers could absolutely beat the Eagles. DC plays us tough in the regular season and the Eagles don't have the defense from last year's playoffs anymore. Flying across the country to play LA isn't going to be easy either nor will the Bears or Buffalo or Dallas as a division game on the road.

That's assuming the Eagles are at full strength. There have been so many injuries this year who knows what shape they will be in the last 4-5 weeks with this brutal schedule. I'm in a week to week mindset right now. Prove today wasn't a fluke, who is playing each week, and how are things shaping up as it goes along.

Gb schedule

panthers suck

Giants suck

Bears x 2 7-8 win team

Minnesota not very good x2 (similar to commanders)

Their toughest games are at lions, at Denver, vs eagles and vs Baltimore who might not have anything to play for and a terrible defense.

So they killed lions week 1 and played them well. Denver and eagles are tough games. And Baltimore like Buffalo has no defense and that game is in GB in late December

Also, I didn’t say they were going to get it. I said I wouldn’t be shocked if they got it.

GB isn't a must-win, but it's a must-win if they want the BYE, which is pretty close in my book with how beat up they will be by that point. Anything can happen, but as of now, they only have 3 tough games, like you said, and are already one up on the Eagles.

Yeah I’d agree I think it’s must win if we want the 1 seed. I think at the very least we need to split with Green Bay and Detroit.

I'm glad the NFL didn't screw them playing another team also coming off the BYE, but the Panthers are close. We should be fresh physically, and we'll see which Eagles team shows up.

Obviously I'm pretty excited about Tank Bigsby's performance today. I've been a supporter of the trade to acquire him and I didn't panic when his contributions the first month were minimal. He provided a real spark out there, and I think his run on the 2nd and 26 was basically the play of the game.

But I'm wondering if anyone else has the same sense I did about him. And that is that he really shows what I consider to be an innate desire to bounce everything outside. There were a couple of plays -- one in particular -- where he had an opening inside but refused to pound it in there and instead took it wide. Okay, he was able to make things happen by doing so, but it reminded me quite a bit of Ryan Moats, who did that to a fault and never really became the player he could have been.

I've also read comparisons to Jay Ajayi, and I can sort of see that too. Kind of a reckless violence in his running style.

I'm really happy with this win. I went into the game thinking that today's performance would kind of be an indicator for the kind of season we were going to have. With a loss, we might be looking at one of those years where we struggle to get to nine or ten wins and aren't really a contender after all. But a win -- and this was a pretty convincing one all things considered -- makes you think we're a twelve win or better type team that if things break well for us could actually make some serious noise in the playoffs. With the bye week ahead, I feel a warm sense of relief that we're in the process of righting the ship.

So who are we trading for? The eagles did have Jermaine Johnson and the DE from Atlanta in for official visits back in 2022. And Joe Douglas is back with the team.

Possibly no one.

Yeah, Hunt played well, they have BG, and Smith will be back. I'd be surprised if they spent high picks for a DE in a seller's market.

TE....maybe for depth

CB....lot of JAGs who aren't big upgrades and AS Jr is on the street.

We'll see but I wouldn't be shocked if they did nothing and Tank and Metchie were the big acquisitions they talk about. If there is a trade it wouldn't shock me if it's for something we don't expect like those.

Yup. I think 2-0 in the next 2 gives them a strong inside track for the bye. 1-1 and they are probably in the thick of it. 0-2 and the focus shifts to just winning the division.

See 13-4 or 12-5.

Maybe #2 seed.

Who does #2 work for?

I'm not a "capologist" but between leftover cap this year and available cap next year, the Eagles should have around 45 million in space. You are not going to be able to re-sign Goedert, Dean, Blankenship, extend Carter and fill out the rest of the roster which will have another 20 or so free agents (The Eagles have a ton of 1 year contracts and players on their last year).

Now Jordan Davis is slated to make almost 13,000,000 next year and I don't think he is worth it but....maybe you extend and shift money freeing up another 5,000,000 or so. So even if the Eagles have 50,000,000, you still need to be able to fill out your roster, even with all the draft picks the Eagles have next year.

So consider this a reality **** slap....No, the Eagles are not trading for Miles Garrett. No, Milton Williams was not worth signing at that number. No, the Eagles aren't trading AJ this week with an 80 million dollar dead cap number.

He did seem to have a bounce tendancy, which will become problematic as the game tape builds up on him and defenses start to anticipate it. Hopefully the coaches see it too and work to get him hitting the hole north and south a little more. But, for yesterday, it was very effective.

Really nice win yesterday and totally sets things up for the bye and time to rest. Obviously the rushing game was the story of the game. It was about time.

Are we sure Smith is coming back after the bye?

Carter's extension will not count against the 2026 cap, right? Can they add salary to year 4 or only to year 5 since it is the option year?

The offense FINALLY looked like they had the talent that they've had all season... even missing the starting Center and starting WR.

I wonder how much we will see the 6 man OL moving forward. Was that merely an adjustment because AJ was out, or will it be a major contributing factor moving forward? And how much will they throw out of those looks in the future to keep defenses honest?

Well the Steelers Defense folded. We were always going to have to take care of the Packers ourselves. They play Carolina next week which it's possible they could lose that game but I'm not counting on it. So for tiebreaker purposes, Monday Night Football is going to be huge. I'm not scared of anyone in the 2nd half. The Boys Defense is horrific. Washington we have to see if they can keep it together without Jayden with Mariota but they've been up and down. They haven't beat the Chiefs since 1983 so they are going to need some fluky luck to pull this one out tonight. Maritoa did beat the Chiefs in the Playoffs. Packers and Lions will be a battle but both have proven to be beatable. The Bears can be tough in situations but are still young and beatable. Chargers started hot but haven't looked the best in recent weeks. Raiders are the Raiders. Bills Defense isn't that great but will be tough in Buffalo but it's out of conference so won't effect the main standings. So yeah there's no excuse for the Eagles not to get to 12-13 wins to me.

I don't think the Packers are that good, their signature win is beating Detroit with an all new interior Offensive line making their first start, most of their other games have been underwhelming, they struggled mightily with the Cardinals and managed to lose to the Browns and only the Dolphins have managed that. I'm not worried about the Bears and the Commanders weren't that close to us last year. The Bills on the road and Lions are far and away our toughest remaining games, and even the Bills are making surprisingly heavy weather of a powderpuff schedule that should have seen them walk the AFC 1 seed (ie avoiding road games against contenders which are their kryptonite).

If the Eagles can't win their division comfortably from here it'll be them falling over their own feet rather than the opposition, I'm not as concerned about the 1 seed this year, last year was different because we had a ridiculously early regular season bye week and went into the post season off 13 straight weeks of games.

Yeah, that's a good question. Fred isn't catching any passes but the backup TEs just can't block so while it worked yesterday it doesn't seem ideal for large numbers of plays.

The thing we really need to keep as a major part of the O is the "Hurts under center" plays. Everything just seems to flow when Hurts is up under center including Hurts himself who seems to really get into a good rhythm.

Not concerned about GB or getting the #1 seed at all. Id be very happy to beat them in Lambeau in the NFCCG.

I think they could do it there sure but I rather it be in Philadelphia where Jalen has a perfect 5-0 record in the Playoffs including two NFC Championship wins. Eagles are also 9-0 Vs the NFC North by the way.
