13 hours ago13 hr So we have:Howell for RodgersDillon for BectonI'll add:6th Rounder for Slay and a 7th Rounder. Can see him getting cut if patient.Waiting on CJGJ (using him as all purpose DB) to practice squad for depth if nothing materializes in trades or Samuel/Simmons signing.Adding veteran depth at minimum here for deadline. But Rodgers is a game changer. For roster space that needs to be created, not afraid to chop Adoree & P. Johnson (both can land on practice squad comfortably) and trade Ringo for a 5th Rounder or useful depth player (TE maybe). I'm keeping Dotson for the stretch run even though he's not back next year. Could get a decent compensatory pick as well here depending how he contributes. Perhaps, can also manipulate the long snapper/kick returner position for an extra spot with elevations from practice squad.

Sixers are fun.Pundits don’t watch Big12 roundball. Defense rules in the Big12 (UH, K State, for example). It’s much different than the NBA. So VJ played to Big12 style. Not really surprised by his play.

He might be right twice in a decade.I follow during TC because he posts a lot during practice. When the Eagles cut off the Beat access, I unfollow him and BLG. Note that I insult their "takes” in PS.

12 hours ago12 hr They've had Pixar and Simpsons (and maybe others?) NFL broadcasts as something fun for kids for a few years now I think. The Super Bowl in the 80s and 90s used to do the Puppy Bowl commercials. The Mannings have their version of the MNF game. I don't see a problem with trying things to attract ratings with separate broadcasts, it doesn't interfere with the main broadcast. My problem with watching games is the constant pushing of gambling, stats geared to bets and too many commercial breaks (and when they come back and you miss some of the actual plays). The other thing is trying to be too cute with announcing. I like breaking down the plays, showing things on the replay like a key block or how the WR ran a great route. I don't like them getting preachy about rules and tush push and things like that. Personal stories of players have a place but should be limited.
12 hours ago12 hr A lot of people will be disappointed if Howie doesn't make any big moves, or if the one trade he does is on the level of his recent trade deadline moves. He already made 2 trades this season for Bennett and Bigsby, who was only after the 1st game so closer to training camp than trade deadline. As a reminder, his previous trade deadline moves since Ajayi:2018: WR Golden Tate (2019 3rd round pick)2019: DE Genard Avery (2021 4th round pick). 2019: LB Duke Riley and a 2020 6th-round pick (from Atlanta in exchange for S Johnathan Cyprien and a 2020 7th-round pick.)2021: CB Tay Gowan and a 2022 fifth-round pick (from Arizona in exchange for TE Zach Ertz). DB Kary Vincent (2022 6th-round pick).2022: DE Robert Quinn (2024 4th round pick)2023: S Kevin Byard (S Terrell Edmunds, a 2024 4th and 6th round picks).I could see a corner but will it be a scrub like the guys on the list above? Or someone worthwhile?

Years of weight training got him up to 320. Team sites don’t update weight generally. Lane Johnson is listed at 325, for example. He’s closer to 350.

I also hate Sundays where the Eagles played on Thursday, Friday or have the Monday game.Maybe I’m the outlier here, but I kinda enjoy the bye week. You can just sort of veg out on the couch all day and watch football without a whole lot of stress. It’s especially enjoyable when the Eagles are coming off a win.
