More likely Njoku from Browns. Can't see GB doing anything to make the Eagles better in season this year

If GB can get any sort of draft collateral back to help offset giving up 2 firsts for Parsons, even if it's a 4th, they probably do it. Musgrave is a backup TE right now. I doubt they would care if they trade him to the Eagles.

I've always been an Njoku fan, but I want a move at TE that can have an impact past this year. Nkoku is going on 30. Musgrave just turned 25.

Chase Young is the move. Can probably be had for a 5th or 6th and I guarantee you he'll give you as much as Chubb does.

Now that’s a smart name. He hasn’t done a ton in this league. But he’s probably going to produce as well as the 2nd tier options once you get past the big 3 pipe dreams. And for a much lesser pick that makes sense.

A 2nd round pick for Jermaine Johnson is insane. I would be upset at a 3rd rounder. He has 1 sack this year, and 0 last year because he tore his achilles. He's not the player he was pre-achilles in 2024. His 2026 contract is fully guaranteed at 13M (5th year option). His contract is bad given his performance!

As much as I like MG and think he would make our DL scary good, I just can't see it happening. We're going to need to pay Carter very soon as well.

A solid DE to go along with Graham and Nolan coming back will suffice and won't cost anywhere near as much

True, but Carter is losing money this season: came in to camp not in good shape according Fangio, ejected first game, and playing good but not great football. He'll still make a lot but the $40 million annual is off the table right now and he has work to do this season/next off season to raise the bar again.

Trading 3 1st rounders for MG is excessive, but I'm not opposed as I think we have enough talent on the team we won't be able to resign due to cost that we can make up one or two of them in future trades. I think if Howie is considering giving up 3 (that is all rumor BTW), he also is thinking of other future trades to recoup some of that.

I have something like this from Amazon

Works well for slice-your-own sandwich meat ham, roast beef etc. Not as ridgid and accurate as the metal ones but also doesn't take up much storage room.

So I almost cut my thumb off as a 14 yr old with a chainsaw helping my dad cut firewood. Had to have a couple of reconstructive surgeries. I was terrified of power tools for years after that. Finally overcame the fear, slicers like these make me very very nervous. I had to use one in a job during college but I was very deliberate every time I touched it. I’m just accident prone.

I hear you. Most important thing is to just work slow and follow safety procedures. We get careless when we get comfortable with dangerous things.

They do sell special gloves that can protect you from cuts though. I've never used one but if I were dealing with a machine like that on the regular I think it would be a good investment.

Regarding homemade cheesesteaks, I noticed focus on the roll, the thinness of the meat... but no one talked about the seasoning. The secret I've found is to get a more authentic cheesesteak flavor you have to go pretty heavy on the garlic powder... heavier than you think you should is generally the rule of thumb I've found. And keep it simple. SPG is all you need. If you want a little extra just stick to an onion powder, but imo that's unnecessary if you properly sweat your onions. You really don't want them truly carmelized... just a touch of brown... mostly just translucent is what you are looking for. And I prefer mine a little larger diced rather than a fine dice... the smaller the dice the easier they are to overcarmelize. Also I think the texture of a little bigger diced onion adds something to the experience.

Bradley Chubb had 9 pressures on Thursday night vs the Ravens. Word is Phillips is the higher rated player right now but not sure how unless age and contract are being put into the equation. Gimme Chubb for a 4th that can get to a 3rd. If it's a 3rd or bust due to competition then I'd do it. We have three 3rds, we can afford to move one. Maybe Chubb can be extended if he plays well enough and fits in.

9 pressures, zero sacks, 1 tackle - Jackson was 18/23 and 4 TDs zero INT. Chubb has now gone 4 consecutive games without a sack. Derrick Henry 19 for 119. Chubb had zero impact on this game. Not to say he isn't a decent player, but does he make a true difference on this defense? I don't think so.

Must be going around. I sliced my finger bad last night as well. Medical superglue, Steri-Strip, and a T-Ring to stop the bleeding came in handy. Looks wild today 🤣

Hunt looks great right now. IF he continues to progress and IF Smith can come back at full strength and IF Graham can still be a force in limited snaps I think we may actually be fine there.

Not saying we shouldn't knock on every door to see if we can get an upgrade, but still I'm more optimistic now than I was early season with out EDGE situation.

Too many ifs for me. Though I do like how the edge room should be trending the second half of the season. Think Chubb cements that room. Not sure why we'd value Phillips over Chubb though but I guess I'd take him if nothing else.

That sucks. Another reason I just glued it is because we had a golf weekend a couple hours from home and I didn’t want to miss it. I played like crap but had a great time. If I hit it thin the finger would start throbbing but I kept wrapped up so it didn’t split open again, just leaked a little. I won’t get feeling back in the tip of that finger for quite a while if at all. Hopefully the nerve heals.

Phillips is three years younger and is in a contract year. He is worth more because of those two things.

If you get Phillips for a high pick that's pretty much in lieu of drafting a DE next year. You'd have Smith, Hunt & Phillips. You'd have to really believe in him. Chubb is more of a one year rental which I'm fine with.

Anybody here can say they'd rather have X guy for Y Price but we don't know the prices. They vary a lot from media reports in both directions

Phillips might be viewed as more of a "rental" than a key piece moving forward. We already have a few contracts that need to be done after this season.

I don't think Nolan Smith will get a new contract this offseason, Jalen Carter needs to come on down the stretch to establish top value or that might be a tough negotiation

I think there will be a decision made on Dean. Somebody will pay Dean even if we decide to move forward with Campbell. I'm not sure how that will play out yet. Carter will get extended no matter what. Howie isn't going to let the market reset an additional year before getting that one done. A Blankenship decision is also looming. Ojomo could be in line for an early extension unless the Eagles want him to take the Milton Williams path in another year. After 2026, we need to be prepared to be in talks with Mitchell and DeJean along with Nolan Smith --- and that's just on the defensive side.

Penn State sucks

Now that had to totally suck. Glad you had a good time, though. Damn

I guess you get a pick back for him as a rental when he leaves

JV game in So CA and grandson had a nice PB in the endzone; recovered a mid range kickoff (orchestrated to create the takeaway as he is fast AF); had 3 KO returns for 20 25 and 65 (2 resulted in scores for a solid W).

And played all meaningful D snaps at CB (very good) or Safety (not as good by a lot). The returns are the best reward as I used to punt to him on the weekends (in my 50s...).

Get Howie on the phone!
