Feel bad for BVS, but agree he’s a niche player on this team at best

Hurts was much better tonight than he was early last season; had much better awareness and didn’t default to leaving the pocket early nearly as much.

Too many short passes tonight, but the Eagles scored three first half TDs, I’m not nearly as concerned about Patullo as some. It always seems like the Eagles make Diggs look like a shutdown CB when, in reality, he’s completely roastable on hitch-and-go routes …. or just go routes

Very impressed with Campbell; looked like a 3-year vet while playing his first NFL game. He and Baun will be an excellent LB tandem. Get Jackson out of there and give Bennett the job. He looked the part while he was in there.

Jalen got well over the Mendoza line (175 total yard, no turnovers). The rushing attack otherwise was otherwise anemic.

The defense tighten down in Fangio fashion. Campbell and Mukuba look like they can swim, Adoree on the other hand is going under. We had Coop to replace Avonte last year, who’s that now… Bennett/Ringo? Are we making the best of it to the trade deadline.

Carter was just yapping like BG use to do and Dakota definitely started it

Don't underestimate the preseason of September.

If Carter does not get tossed and there is no Landon back freezing delay, I think it would have been a rout.

Adoree was awful but I was able to understand it a bit just talking to my son about the secondary.

Coop knows where Baun is going to be who knows where Q is going to be and so on. The new guy probably does not have all that down yet. (still don't love it)

I really hope he can get it down in the next 10 days.

I think on rewatch we will see lots of just missed big plays (like Hunt taking the wrong angle to Dak and just missing a sack, a few pick drops, and so on.)

Lots to clean up, a CB2 to replace, and maybe we need Ty Robinson dressed as a smasher in run situations.

Dallas had 45 free yards in that first half. Without that they scored ZERO in the second half.

Biggest disappointment non-Carter variety: Ojomo sucked. Bad.

I saw a lot of under-center play-action with Hurts on the move early, Then it all disappeared.

Did they ever call the zone-read counter? Did Hurst even run once other than scrambling?

Questionable game plan. But it's week 1. We are 1-0.

Play of the game was Baun running down Sanders. If he doesn't fetch him DAL scores a TD there...couple of plays later and theres the fumble to keep DAL off the board completely.

Nothing tonight was overly unexpected in terms of individual players. Pretty much everything I was concerned about coming into the game(and all offseason leading up to it) kept me concerned after it.

Otherwise, if there was an unexpected thing it was AJ Brown not getting a target til the final 2 minutes. And possibly Saquon not having more success on the ground, but teams will defend the run differently this year so Eagles better be ready.

It doesn't help when 75% of the runs are out of a double wing look, no motion, and they just have Saquon running straight into the middle of the defense. They had some success early in the game running to the outside and they completely abandoned it in the 2nd half.

I was sort of dazed throughout the first half. That Carter ejection just staggered me.

Right? I finally got comfortable and then heard Carter got ejected. I was just sitting there like… what?

On the bright side, Jordan Davis was GOOD with extended snaps.

Who cares? Seriously. Carter is the bad guy and the moron here.

He moved into Carter's spot. I would assume, without knowing for sure, that he became the recipient of the double teams they used to support Booker.

The play calling was pretty good in the first half. The second half on the other hand (especially after the delay) was like Brian Johnson level bad.

Besides the game clinching play?

Only Undefeated team in the league!

There’s actually 31 , but we’re the only one with a W

Wonder how many sacks may have happened if Carter was there wrecking the middle today.

Oddly enough, his value just increased come contract time because the line looked anemic without him.

He got handled with single teams frequently and was on the ground a few times.

According to the new rules Dak should have been ejected as well had a ref seen him spit at Carter and taunt him. Carter took the bait like a dope and did a stupid selfish thing. BOTH can be and are true.

Willie Lampkin when he returns

You joke but I think that is something they’re definitely thinking about.

That was off a drop back. I am referring to designed runs.

Biggest takeaways for me...

  • Some poor signs from star players tonight. AJ's hurt. Dickerson's hurt. Quinyon can't catch. Carter is a lunatic. Gotta get these guys on track.

  • Not gonna overreact too much, but Patullo didn't really do anything to beat the Brian Johnson comparison.

  • Adoree Jackson should be cut. Not benched, cut. Can't cover, can't tackle, gets in the way of the actual good players. What's the point...

  • Really encouraged by Campbell. Closed in the flat like a juggernaut. Covered 20 yards downfield like a safety.

  • Zack Baun is a star. No one year wonder here. Saved us on the Sanders long run.

  • Losing BVS and Shipley hurt. Eagles seemed to want to feature them, and Shipley looked awesome when he played.

I thought it was bad even in the first half. High school level route concepts that never gave our guys a chance to beat any coverages.

We ran the tush push a few times. Duh.

I wasn't joking, hence the lack of an "lol"

We were empty on 3rd and 2 and Dallas had no time outs. That was a draw, dude.
