Jalen got well over the Mendoza line (175 total yard, no turnovers). The rushing attack otherwise was otherwise anemic.

The defense tighten down in Fangio fashion. Campbell and Mukuba look like they can swim, Adoree on the other hand is going under. We had Coop to replace Avonte last year, who’s that now… Bennett/Ringo? Are we making the best of it to the trade deadline.

Almost a shame they traded Booker they could use the depth

Biggest disappointment non-Carter variety: Ojomo sucked. Bad.

He did, but I'm not concerned about him. It's not like he's a guy who was on the practice squad all season in 2024 and this is his first time playing. He's played well in the league, I think he's an ascending player. I think he'll be fine. Far more concerned about the Edge. I still can't believe that they came into this season with Jalyx Hunt as a starter. I think he has a ton of upside, but my god, a year ago he was said to be two years away and he barely played last season and only because of injury to BG. And they just came into this season with him as a starter. It's insanity they didn't find a way to add more at Edge during the offseason. And I don't care of Ojulari had a bad camp, he's played in this league before and has had success. That matters. He's had 8 sack seasons on the Fing Giants. Play him.

I thought it was bad even in the first half. High school level route concepts that never gave our guys a chance to beat any coverages.

That's true. I"m starting to think the routes thing is clearly a Siri issue. He is the one constant.

Dickerson might be a problem this season health wise. Would hate to do it against KC, but he might need a rest. Hopefully the 10 days off can help. But having Toth as his backup scares the crap out of me there. Pryor has to be a better option as a backup.

Things moved so quickly… are we sure that was a catch by Pickens on that third down on the Cowboys final drive? It was moving a bit at the end.

If the NFL is a serious organization then Dak needs a suspension.

He is 100% guilty on that replay. He sought out Carter and spat at him.

Otherwise they will just use the emphasis on no taunting and sportsmanlike conduct to play favorites.

Oh wait, I forgot we are talking NFL. That's exactly what they will do.

I saw a lot of under-center play-action with Hurts on the move early, Then it all disappeared.

Did they ever call the zone-read counter? Did Hurst even run once other than scrambling?

Questionable game plan. But it's week 1. We are 1-0.

I'm perfectly happy with Hurts not running by design as a central tenet of the offense.

Neither should get suspended. Hit them both with a fine and move on.

You joke but I think that is something they’re definitely thinking about.

I dont think anyone is joking when they say that. It makes a hell of a lot of sense.

We were empty on 3rd and 2 and Dallas had no time outs. That was a draw, dude.

OK. Let me be more specific. I am referring to the read-option runs. Like the one he scored on against LAR in the Division Playoff. It was a feature last season. Their run game looked very vanilla tonight.

That’s all coach speak and posturing. Shotty did zero of what he said would be Dallas’ identity.

Im not sure what shotty said they were going to do, but the whole organization from lurie down have been talking about bringing the FB and as said BVS had a good camp a good preseason and the eagles ran a ton of heavy sets this game which one would assume BVS would have been in a bunch of those.

Funny story about posturing

My senior year of highschool the previous year we lost to the eventual state champs in the playoffs to kevin dysons team, you tennessee Titan one yard short of winning the superbowl kevin dyson.

We were a triple option wishbone offense had been for years but we had a sophomore qb that was pretty good, hed started as a freshman, so the coach tells the papers and anyone thatll listen that hes going to run a spread offense because the qb is so good.

First game of the season opens up in a 4 WR set hands it off to the FB and it goes for like 20 yards then the rest of the game triple option wishbone all day, never ran another spread formation rest of the year all the way to state.

Seems a lot if posturing for 20 yards.

Difference I see in this game is eagles lined up in a ton of heavy sets in this game after saying they were gling to do that so....

Dak's punishment should equal Carter's punishment, missing an entire game.

1-0. I wouldn't try to extrapolate a season's worth of results for players from week 1. But I'm sure people will and already have. It was a Jalen Hurts game. He wills the team to win and his numbers look pedestrian so box score watchers will not appreciate what a winner he is

I think Nolan Smith should be fined and possible suspended for that over the top, terrible, classless "taunting" after his TFL.

Is this sarcasm? If you yell near a player you get 15 yards. A suspension for that is insanity.

It wasn’t a draw.

Yep. Think of the children!

At least 2 games. Total lack of class to celebrate after a really good play.

Broke my heart to see him so uninvolved

I was sort of dazed throughout the first half. That Carter ejection just staggered me.

That was deflating watching at home, I can’t imagine how the team felt.

For sure. That being said I think the play was designed for Jalen to do one quick read and take off if he didn't like what he saw. He absolutely juked that white LB out of his jock.

I wonder if AJ Brown didn't get targeted because his hamstring is still an issue. Because on that one catch he got, he didn't seem to put an effort into shaking and baking the defender. But maybe he just didn't want to lose yardage or risk going out of bounds. But it would explain how they inexplicably didn't throw him the ball all game.

However, he wasn't even on the injury report, so... but I guess that doesn't mean it's not an issue. Hard to say. Reporters have all said he's fine and Eagles aren't worried about, so something to keep in mind. And they did have all WRs active today I believe
