Thought Davis was meh against run in first half second half anchored better but as a pass rusher cant remember seeing him as active.

Steen looked fine to me, Dickerson was a liability all game, clearly was hurt, probably shouldve sat.

CB 2 jackson is ass, his coverage was pretty bud but his run support was atrocious, the long run by Sanders he leflopped it was bad.

I dont think AJ is 100% and not sure why patullo had smitty running 3 yard outs all game🤔

I was going to say the same thing with Davis in terms of a run defender. I thought he got better defending the run as the game went on and really using his size and strength on Dallas’ OL. His pressure as a pass rusher was better than we’ve seen for much of his career. Granted he has to finish that sack against Dak cause it could’ve been a momentum changer. In the first half particularly early he and the eagles didn’t look great against the run and guys were getting pushed off the line.

That said, losing your best player on defense not even before the game, but just before the first defensive snap changes a lot. I think they had to just get the halftime so that they could regroup and adjust with what they were going to do. At least years ago when trotter got ejected against Atlanta it happened during warmups so had some time to adjust. Carter did it after the opening kick off.

He waits until the last drive of the game to throw to AJ. Retarded. Devonta getting 3 catches for 16 is ridiculous

Minus the 51 yarder to Dotson, Eagles WR's caught 6 for 32 yards. Horrible. 7 for 83 total.

I bet 20 WR's individually surpass those numbers this weekend.

Davis played well. Don't know what people didn't see. He's not a star, but he played well. The interior of our offensive line was not good. They did not move defenders off the line of scrimmage. However, my caveat for that is both offenses were negatively impacted by the delay.

Dallas first TD was a hold by Guyton against Baun, guyton clearly reached out and grabbed Bauns shoulder as Baun was running by him and turned Bauns body

Even immediately after the hold you can see guyton drop his head and kinda sheepishly walk to the celebration, like a kid trying to be invisible after getting caught, of course refs swallowed their whistles, it was an easy call especially with how loose the refs were on the other side with calling eagles for PI.

But offensive holding isnt really a point of emphasis but yeah Dallas holds a lot on offense.

Or a few plays before when they had an arn around Smith's neck

How was Sydney/Mukuba?

Mukuba looked pretty good IMO

Yup jordan and dickerson looked hobbled and jurgen isnt really a push the pile guy just like kelce does better when you get him out in space which makes one wonder why patullo just kept calling really basic inside runs, the one time they called an outside run barkley picked up a big gain.

Steen I thought looked fine, as did lane, Lane isnt really known for his run blocking, hes an elite pass blocker

Toth is useless still trying to figure out how he made the roster?

That rarely gets called anymore, its a text book hold but the refs are so hell bent on protecting qbs that they dont call it anymore.

I agree but at least we know he isn’t crazy lol

A couple of things

I don’t think it had to do with his hamstring. Listening to Sirianni talk and hurts, it didn’t sound like the hamstring was the reason. Felt like what happened a few years back with smith having 0 receptions and 0 yards week 1 then week two he got peppered. This has been an issue before. Was pointed out last year (ravens into the panthers game). There has been times going all the way back to 2023 where they just don’t get him targets or looks. I don’t think this was a decoy situation and frankly if his hammy is still an issue and i don’t want him out there week 1 with potential to injure it further and lose him for another 2-4 weeks with the schedule we have ahead of us.

Secondly, I don’t think the Eagles are just going to be able run for another 2000 yards this year with saquon. they’ll be better than last night once OL gets healthier and just more continuity as didn’t play much in preseason. However NFL teams had an entire off-season to watch film and adjust. Granted they have a new offensive coordinator, but I don’t think the offense is completely overhauled and teams are going to adjust to eagles and saquon. felt this way at the end of last year that the eagles were gonna have to throw more and be better passing in 2025. That means figuring out ways and getting the ball to AJ brown more consistently at times. I hate Dallas but when their offense begins to bog down, they understand let’s get lamb on a mismatch (cause he’s better than most corners) and just throw it to him. Imo there’s times where this offense just needs to do the same thing with brown to get themselves jumpstarted. (This isn’t at hurts. This is more towards OC and sirianni needing to force feed brown at times as he’s too good not to run some designed plays for some easy pitch and catches)

Yup, thats a coaching failure, even if AJ was hobbled Thrash and Pinkston could put up better numbers.

Id like to see a diagram of the routes aj and smitty ran, seemed all smitty did all game is run 3-5 yard patterns

The lack of motion to get anyone open was suprising, hurts had a few he couldve let rip that he didnt but its hard to imagine that dallas secondary as banged up as they were locked down the eagles WR.

Hopefully it was just one of those games but the passing O didnt look good

yep. the hamstring is fine.

And I predicted about 1600 yards rushing for Barkley this year. Thats only 100 yards per game if he doesnt play week 17. Which seems like an easy average for him. And he was on pace in the first half. 50 yards, and the team had 123 yards rushing in the 1st half. It was going to be a dominant ground performance again.

Then the left side of our OL got hurt. The defense stacked boxes, bracketed option plays or spied Hurts. And Hurts refused to test their secondary when the run game got shut down.

For the love of god can we try a few quick slants with AJ sometimes?

Patrick Johnson playing meaningful snaps over a scratched Ojulari doesn’t bode well for our edge outlook this year. It’s a mess.

Refs let Mailata get away with a hold on one of Hurts TDs too.

They did a poor job addressing it this offseason. The Eagles probably have the best front office in football, but they're human, and their free agency haul this season was not good.

Za'Darius is still out there. It makes too much sense.

Also if CB2 becomes a big problem. Stephon Gilmore is out there.

Winning does not excuse the problems. Never understood that thought process

I don’t think the Eagles have to target AJ Brown 10 to 15 times like some of these other great wide receivers around the league because they have so many weapons where you don’t have to rely on him for that. However it is absurd they went 58 mins and second half the offense was struggling as Dallas was stacking the box with a beat up OL and continued to not attempt to get him involved. He’s a top 5 WR and he can jumpstart this offense when they are struggling with simply finding a way and calling a play to get the ball into his hands. The fact aj brown and granson had the same amount of targets is absurd any way you slice it.

After last night, hope Ringo can get himself out of the doghouse and back into the conversation. He at least is around the receiver and not looking like a chicken with his head cut off like Jackson. He's taller and can add that element. Jackson is small and really not that athletic. Good that Fangio has 10 days to figure all that out. I'd even play Ricks over Jackson. But really one of Bennett & Ringo have to step up. Adoree Jackson is last year's Maddox. But worse...

Did they ever give an update about Dickerson? Last I heard he was going to the x-ray room but didn't see anything after that

Berman mentioned it was his back that kept him out Monday and that it was what caused him to leave. Other than that i haven’t seen anything else
