Glad I wasn't alone in noticing this during the game. I thought Pickens was going to grab Quinyon's leg and pull him down. I thought he actually made contact with him too. Great display for UGA alum last night.

I am giving myself honorable mention for my Shipley gets a 35 yard screen. Close-ish. Nice catch and run screen. Hope he is OK.

They credited that as a run rather than a pass. It was a nice play.

BVS tore his patellar tendon…

When the All-22 comes out I’ll examine that. At least once on the toss play the Eagles lined up with two TEs on the right (strong) side, motioned a WR across left to right, slanted the OL to the right showing an OZ right and pitched to Saquon going left. Dallas stacked the defense to the strong side and had a safety follow the motion, basically stripping the weak side of defenders. The next time the Eagles lined up in that formation the safety stayed home.

It’s crazy how good and impactful Dickerson is for that OL. Look forward to you breakdowns here.

Smith is 33. He is coming off an injury-plagued season. He is NOT better than Hunt and Hunt is only scratching the surface of his talent. As for Uche, I have no opinion.

Hunt I thought was very good last night. Seemed like Dallas watched film and decided he needed extra attention a lot of the game. There was a nasty chop block that wasn’t called by Ferguson on him too.

Come on. I'm not defending Adoree by any stretch but we've seen worse games. Dak only totaled 188 yards passing. Adoree gave up 100 yards to a really good WR. That's been done and exceeded many times by bad eagles CBs

I was going to say I’ve seen worse but he was pretty awful.

Called this out as soon as it happened.

Pickens is such a loser type player. He’ll stay in the league cause he’s talented but he’s a losing type of player

People need to relax a bit about this game.

It was the first game, with unusual circumstances

You have the rust issue, you have a defense with five new starters (Ojomo, Hunt, Campbell, Jackson, Mukuba), then Carter gets kicked out.

So Siri plays it conservatively, want to shorten the game and not overexpose his young defense.

What was interesting is despite being conservative, no RPOs. Think that's a deliberate change this season:

1) Hurts takes more punishment on those plays, in the pocket, he's become very good at both avoiding contact and keeping his eyes downfield, looking for open men, running lanes and threw it away when none were there

2) If Hurts does get hurt, having a more conventional offense makes it easier to plug and play McKee.

With ten days to prepare, I think you'll see more things next week on both sides of the ball.

But the first 4 games of each season is the "shakeout cruise," the key is getting things to mesh and then go on a roll.

I don't care about the schedule, barring major injuries it won't surprise me if this team goes 7-2 or 8-1 after the bye once Fangio has his young players on the same page and Howie makes a few tweaks to the roster.

An observation I had last night that I meant to comment on was the utilization early of DG. He started out on fire, and then he was less involved as the game progressed or so it seemed to me. I really haven’t been that up on him the last couple of years, if they continue to involve him more he should have a great year. He needs more targets imo.

Someone posted the video of all the plays he took off throughout the game. He avoided a lot of contact when he should have been blocking for sure. You would think a guy that believes he’s a #1 wr would be putting together the best tape possible to earn that opportunity next year.

It was obvious after last night that this defense needs at least 2 more vets to keep these youngens in line and not over rely on them. Need another vet on the backend as well to replace Toast Jackson and add a proven track record & leadership. Gilmore might be the way to go. A good pro bowl vet back there. Refs are gonna call these young guys tough, like they did last nite. Didn't get any of the close calls.

Yeah they lack veteran leaders on defense, so much youth which can be a strength. Nakobe Dean was said to be a leader of the Georgia defense and could be that type of guy. For now it seems Baun is the veteran leader. Q and DeJean I think could get there as they handle their business well. The other veteran is Reed who doesn't seem to be that type.

What player on defense would get in Carter's face and try to calm him?

Now include the yards Sanders got on the run he broke, where Jackson decided to fall down with his back to the play as Sanders hit the hole. That play was a benchable offense. It looked like he just wanted no part in the contact. If he sticks his nose in the hole, that play is stopped right there for maybe a 3-5 yard gain. Instead he crashes out and Sanders gets a boat load more.

Was going to add that, those two balls that CeeDee dropped were money throws by Dak. Those are the kind of throws you want your franchise QB to have the stones to make.

The second one where he laid out wasn't but the other one earlier in the game was.

Dang, those are tough ones to come back from. Up there with one of the worst injuries a football player can get.

I posted it. Yeah I’ve not liked him when he was worth the Steelers. Felt very much like a me first guy and a guy who stays in the league cause he has talent and someone will always try but never a team guy.

Its the worst ive seen, worse than toast jenkins, maxwell, cromartie, fletcher, I cant think in my mind a worse played game from an eagle corner in all the time ive watched eagles football.

He was bad against the pass, worse against the run, just awful all together.

Nah. The worst single game performance in recent memory was Avonte Maddox against Davante Adams in the games the Eagles won against the Packers on a last-minute Bradham INT near the end zone. Adams would have set the NFL record for receiving yards in a game if he hadn't gotten injured. Maddox didn't even compete; it was like a man against a little kid. Just a terrible boundary CB

None of those guys were as consistently bad as Nolan Carroll, Leodis, or Mills were on a regular basis. People forget what a wasteland CB2 was before Slay arrived.

Smith is a good signing. Waiting for a trade for CB2. Most glaring hole on the team.

Sad to say but he was screwed either way. Even if it was ACL that means he tore an ACL in both knees in less than a year, or tore the same twice in less than a year.

It really sucks to see and I feel for the guy. He’s not the most talented but he put the work in every year to make the team where he could.

Agreed on all points.

If the NFL does suspend Carter Inhope they don't drag their feet with the decision and wait until the middle of next week to do it.
