Well, they were meant to. Baseball has more unwritten rules than any sport and that's part of the historic DNA of the sport. The DH ruined that...but pitchers throwing at hitters today are still going to get their teammates thrown at.

They waived Green, who was signed to roster as insurance for OL. The injury situations has not improved much. Creating an opening may mean they are bringing someone in, as there is no OL in PS at the moment.

If DAL is smart (they're not) Dak will be a post June 1 cut in '27 saving them 45m in cap space and costing them 23m in dead money...hopefully he is gone the end of '26 season.

Amen to that. Pitchers who throw at guys these days are cowards. There’s a great story about Pedro Martinez after Clemens hit Papi. Pedro came to Papi and said, "who do you want?” Papi said, "Rodriguez.” Which happened. Martinez was no coward. He was protecting his man. He met a guy or two in the tunnel after the game.

Pretty much nobody messed with Nolan Ryan. He threw at 108. He threw inside but up and in. Cute story: Norm Cash, a very good hitting first baseman for the Tigers, came up to the plate when Ryan was pitching carrying a table leg.The ump said "Norm, you can’t use that.” To which Cash said, "why not?
