Sunday at 01:29 PM5 days If Carter would have spit in the 3rd quarter then I think there’s no doubt he gets suspended for a game.

The US government created Social Security for exactly that reason. People couldn’t be relied on to voluntarily put away money for their retirement, so an enforced savings plan was created. To be fair - America is built on the promise that citizens will spend their money to prop of the "economy.” Our whole culture is built around being a consumer, it’s less about not trusting people to put their money away, and more about knowing we’ve created a system that incentivizes spending. Annuity may make sense sure, but that’s not quite how we’re conditioned money should be. From game shows, paychecks, settlements, lottery, gambling, stocks and even worse illegal financial gains - "my money is my money, now!” I think social security was more-so created to give our elders a better quality of life regardless of how much money they earned in their lifetime. But do understand and agree with what "should” be rather than what is.

I think that can be pretty problematic down the road.I'm not one to defend the league but they did add replay to flags on out of bounds & roughness calls to try to take back some bad calls. Carter brought this on himself. I'm more upset about the call on Blankenship. That's football.

Yet people keep saying it anyway.Honestly…there was a completely different Eagles team after the Jax game. You saw the potential in the Cinci game, but the O was very bad the first half of the season. Saquon straight carried the team for a good bit. I brought it up in the off season, but i think Hurts struggled a lot with his new protection calls responsibility till mid season.

Sunday at 02:10 PM4 days There’s no precedent for the nfl suspending a player for something like that, if they did, it would be proof that the NFL is out to get Philly. If Carter was on the cowboys he’d never get suspended. Considering Tart bashed Kelce’s face and didn’t even get ejected, but Carter could get two games for something far less dangerous would be laughable.

The other percentages are taken from pro-football-reference.

It wasn't until then that they started counting them as "half win/half losses" like any rational person would. Prior to that, tie games were treated as though they didn't exist (which is what you said.)So I get that in a historical record, they have to incorporate the statistical measures that were in place when the games were actually played. Also it would have sucked if the Eagles were playing their opener at home today. The weather is crap here.

It’s always the second guy who gets caught. That said i don’t buy for a second Dak’s reasoning at his presser. I guarantee Dak knows Carter is kind of a reactionary hot head guy. I think he 100% was trying to bait him into getting a 15 yard penalty.Yup, worked against was it Trotter Sr. a few years ago? Got baited into a pregame something and got ejected.

There wasn’t even any ripping or jerking motion from him. If she held it up and he ripped it out, then it changes things. I still don’t think she should have demanded the ball though. The guy looked pretty puzzled about the whole thing.TL/DR: No clear recovery. Ball goes to Dad.It’s just like my motto: if there is a free ball out there, you got to grab it.

Reality is if the NFLPA wasn't a mess they'd protect the player here because it would be a good chunk pf pay that the NFL overlords just get to take away without much limit on their control.

Why not suspend Tart a game for the hit to Kelce? Why only Carter? Btw after the league office spent half the offseason trying to ban the Eagles most unstoppable play. And not only that after teams came out in support of the Eagles, the league office got teams to change their vote. The league is so bitter the Eagles won another Super Bowl in a division where the top market(NY) exists and the top franchise(Dallas exists). They've been trying to bring the Eagles down a peg all year and this would just be the latest thing.

Due to playing the stock market on borrowed money, plus a worldwide depression, the market crashed. The lack of jobs meant able bodied workers couldn’t find jobs. Pensions didn’t exist for workers until after WWII, so people worked until the dropped back then. The idea was to encourage the eldest of workers to retire with a government pension (social security) funded by the current workforce on a go forward basis. That opened up jobs and started the nation toward recovery. Now the drought fluctuated throughout the 1930s which led to ebb and flow in the economy. We, as a people, allowed for many government programs that provided jobs as well, like the CCC. Businesses had their own kind of support very similar to 2008. Historically, droughts have had a profound impact on our economy. The 1870s were worse than the 1930s. Look at the impact disease/vermin have had on crops recently (avian flu and the price of eggs) and drought (herd sell off and the price of beef), for example.Given you years of service and retirement pension, I would suggest reading on Hoover, the Bonus Army in f WWI vets, and how MacArthur with support from Patton were used in response. Thank you Blog for letting me discuss some history.
