If you made Dart the backup then play him now. Only an idiot wants his QB to learn for a month then makes him QB2 in week 1.

Say afterwords that week 1 is like preseason the way the NFL works now and its not anything against Russ, he just wanted to give the team some energy in the 2nd half.

The Giants issue isn’t the coach or to a certain extent the players. It’s an ownership/GM problem. There’s zero excuse for what they do…at this point just play him now. Ruin him and move onto the next.

Youth and a learning moment. We watched Hurts throw it away on 4th down in a similar situation a few years ago.
