Only need two if Lampkin goes on IR.

I would switch Ricks for Nickerson. The Ricks ship has sailed.

Ricks still only 23. Will be interesting to see which way they go

Another reason for optimism is the continuity of the defensive coaching staff. Look at the job they did last season. BIlly King turning Baun into an all-pro and getting the best season from Dean at LB. Hurtt elevating Carter and the improvement of Williams and Ojomo. Parker having Mitchell and DeJean playing like all-pros as rookies. Washburn making Smith to look like a first-round pick and the development of Hunt.

I am confident that Campbell, Makuba, the backup DEs, and whomever plays CB2 will be well prepared to perform at their best.

Agree. The coaching from 2023 to 2024 under Fangio and the position coaches was evident with the returning players all stepping up, and rookies contributing so much. I'm really interested to see the young guys develop and get better each year. Also to think they have young stars in Carter, Q and DeJean who will only get better.

A tale of two cities....

There's been some debate today by various Eagles people about whether the Parsons trade is good or bad for the Eagles given the Packers are a legit playoff team, so could hurt them that way.

I don't really look at it that way, I think the Eagles will be defined by their own performance. But just for argument's sake, I do think it helps the Eagles. Divisional teams losing great players always helps the other divisional teams. And you have to make the playoffs first to make a SB. And for the most part, the Eagles and Dallas almost always split(2024 not withstanding) and it increases the chances the Eagles could beat them twice this year. Yes, it improves the Packers, but one Edge doesn't make you some dominant team. That will always be QB play. Unless Jordan Love becomes Mahomes and LaFelur becomes Andy Reid then yeah the Packers will be good, but not worth losing sleep over. No team in the NFC is worth losing sleep over.

Lampkin is on the roster though. Unless you mean Lampkin to IR and someone promoted to the Roster from the PS

Winning the division is the most important thing ALWAYS. Obviously. So it is good for the Eagles. Gotta get in.

It makes it easier for the Eagles to win 2 division games. And the Eagles have handled the Packers recently anyway. Yes it helps the Packers, but not worrisome. The Eagles are still the top team in the NFC and should return to the Super Bowl. As with last year, the biggest threat to the Eagles...is the Eagles, whether injury or mistakes. As long as they stay focused they will be fine.

DeVonta went around warning everyone he was mic'd up. 🤣

Age is irrelevant to a cat … "lives” is the key measurement, and Ricks has used up all nine of his.

It also makes the NF North more compeitive and possibly lowers the record required for the 1 seed. Good for Eagles. Easy call

I wish we had Captain Quinyon

I think it's a great move for Dallas. I was hoping they were the ones to give Parsons that stupid contract.

Green Bay now has to win ASAP...giving up the assets and the cap space for Parsons. Team in desperation mode just like the Saints were when they made that dumb trade with the Eagles a few years back.
