Consider... the Cowboys were 3-5 with Dak. They were 4-5 without him. An argument could be made that they were better with Rush than Dak.

He has been the best safety this team has developed since a rookie since Dawkins. Not saying he is Dawkins or anything close but that's the truth. Always underappreciated. I remember when he was flashing like crazy as a rookie and people here still wanted to call him a JAG and talk about replacing him heading into year 2. He was an essential part of that all time great championship defense last year. In 3 years has played a part in this team making 2 Super Bowls and winning one in those three years. A young leader on an overall very young defense. The only actual known proven quantity at the safety position left on the roster.

He is a no-brainer to re-sign now and not let him continue to improve and increase his price. If they extend him I can see him being a player who sticks around here 10+ years and retires as one of the most beloved Eagles in franchise history.

Scooter is good. Has been for a while. His division meetings are great (and they are hosted in the "Eagles fan's" house this year!).
