The Eagles are 13-1 against the AFC in the last 14 Regular Season Games including beating KC in KC. (The Fluke Jets game was the only loss) Obviously the Chiefs were embarrassed at the Bowl and will do everything to make sure it's not a blowout again. We just have to play our game and be prepared for a gritty matchup. This is our 5th straight time playing them the last 4 years. I believe we are still the better team and should have won both Super Bowls. If the Eagles take care of the business. They will have beaten the Chiefs 3 straight times right alter beating the Cowboys 3 straight times. (They will have shot to beat the Rams 4 straight times next week)

It does seem that is an advantage they will still have. The Ravens' secondary looked ordinary. Hamilton did not look like a PB player. Alexander had a bad game. He probably looked worse than Adoree. They also don't have anyone that elite on their d-line. Kyle Van Noy is their best pass rusher. He's 34 and really just a rotational player. The Bills defense may be better than they showed on Sunday. They still just got run over and were lucky to get the win. The hope is that Hairston returns and improves the secondary. They also will probably tackle better as the season progresses. Cincinatti has 3 traffic cones, a turnstile and a cinderblock on their O-line. I do think the Browns have a very good defense but Burrow should be worried about surviving the season. It's hard to judge their defense but they did give up nearly 300 yards in the air to Joe Flacco. Denver could beat them just because of their defense. Bo Nix does not look like a good QB. I think the biggest challenger may be the Chargers but I would have to see it first. The Chiefs' offense will improve when Rice returns. They still don't have much of a running game and the o-line issues didn't look fixed.Week 1 and a defense that is basically the same unit in Chiefs D should have the advantage. They got absolutely worked by Herbert and the Chargers. I don't know how that is considered an advantage.

Ship was knocked out before the first half finished. If something ever happened to SB they'd be in bad shape regardless, but even more so if they didn't have some more depth. I still think they overpaid, but you are right about the combos he creates as well.

That doesn't mean we won't be a matchup issue for them because we will. They won't be able to stop everyone. They will have hard time trying to contain Jalen and Saquon. I also think AJ and Smitty have better games this go around. As for Defense. Hopefully Carter's ejection was basically his suspension and he's fined by the league. With that said, the Defense did tighten up 2nd half and played better holding the Cowboys to 0 points. The coverage is why Ceedee missed some of those catches. Someone was always there on him. Again these guys don't want to fall 0-2, they have a lot of pride and Andy's a great coach. We are getting everyone's best shot being the Champs.
Tuesday at 03:17 PM2 days I think the Eagles would be wise to embrace a 3 headed monster at RB. Barkley/Shipley/Tank.I understand that Barkley is a generational RB, but he needs to be preserved. He probably got stuffed at the LOS more Thursday night than he did in any 2 games combined last year. (That's probably more to do with the Mailata/Dickerson injuries and Steen instead of Becton than Barkley himself)...but still...preserve your weapon, do not overuse him.Come playoff time, go nuts with Barkley. But that one Shipley screen on Thursday was exceptional. He clearly knows how to follow his blockers and has the agility to get downfield. Barkley got his money when he didn't even need to...he's a very mature leader; he's not going to be upside with slashed utilization. Before last year, running teams failed...not because running wasn't effective, but because it was unsustainable. Rather than just overwhelming teams with a franchise back constantly, this year, overwhelm them with waves of fresh legs at RB.
Tuesday at 03:17 PM2 days I think Bigsby will be the RB2. Don't think they'd have given up those picks if he wasn't.

For the Eagles this game is an "opportunity to make a statement.” The Chiefs want to believe that the Super Bowl was a fluke … a one-time occurrence due to circumstances. Lots of other people want to believe the same thing, and the Chiefs turning the tables on the Eagles on Sunday is the very best way to accomplish that.Nick and Hurts and all the Eagles know that, and also see the opportunity to tell the football world that SB59 was exactly what it was … a beatdown by a better team on a not better team.Time to make that statement.

Lurie has said it.They just won a SB by going with what they did best. First run dominant team to win a SB in...arguably...decades.That's great that they proved the doubters, myself included, wrong. But it doesn't change the frailty of your entire hopes resting on a running back that jumps into a scrum 20 times per game. I'm sure Howie and Lurie are sensitive to that. Stacking up on RB depth is a necessity for how this team functions.

They need to do something to replace the MB production on the line or at least have a good backup for the other side if/when LD goes down again.

I can rationalize rQB, Ship-Tank, healthy OL, invigorated passing game and an improving Vic defense as a Super Bowl contender.

The Eagles played the first SB matchup essentially even with the Chiefs. Then they beat them in the regular season the next year (although I might attribute fluke status to THAT win, but a win is a win). And then they absolutely humiliated them in the SB the following year.So I'd say the SB, both literally and sentimentally, is an established unquestionably unflukey beatdown...no matter what happens on Sunday. Now, if the Eagles lay an egg, we'll probably suffer through an annoying 1 week aftermath second guessing that...but it will be more in line with the tone that the 2025 Eagles just are diminished from the 2024 Eagles, not truly doubting the SB.

Going from a tired Saquan in the 4th quarter to a fresh Dillon/Shipley/Tank for a series isn't so bad at all. Going into a game without Saquan...now that's awful.
Tuesday at 03:38 PM2 days For better or worse, Adoree is the guy until someone beats him out, or he ishes the bed so badly, they have no choice to replace. If he doesn't play with a chip on his shoulder this week, he should go and play in Miami

First off, a redeye from Houston to southern CA. Don’t believe any such thing exists because it is beyond insipid. Basically a 3 1/2 hour flight from Central time zone to Pacific time zone (gain two hours). So leave at midnight to arrive at one thirty am. Nuts. But of course instead of flying straight on I10, she flies down to Laredo and I guess over Chihuahua (bet Mexico loves that) to get to southern CA. I mean, I get that Laredo and Rainbow kind of sound wise mimic each other, but the geography is beyond awful. Get that Cajun some education. (She is a cowriter on the song so shares her stupidity with three others). Even allowing for the land acquired in the Guadalupe-Hildalgo treaty, nothing in NM, AZ, NV is south of Laredo which is significantly south of Houston. And Southern CA is north of Houston. This state of knowledge (education) is concerning. Thanks for the rant.

If they had a good CB2 or a guard who could come in and play better than what we saw Thursday I wouldn't mind as much. Heck, I wouldn't even mind a good young TE to replace DG next year. RB and KR are way down the list, especially with a 4th round pick possibly coming into play. They must see something so fingers crossed. The nice thing is they do have some depth there now.Speaking of trades with how good Booker played this weekend I sure hope Bennett becomes a player. This trade in no way precludes a trade for either a CB2 or a backup OG. Trouble is, teams aren't likely to part with them at this point in the process for only draft picks. Howie has a crap ton of picks in this draft. There's no way he makes all those selections, so if he can turn a few of them into contributing players, that's a win in my book.
